Canter Woods Farm FULLY FENCED in Vero Beach

Got a big, energetic dog who needs a lot of space to run? You’ve found it! If your dog is happiest in the water, we are here for you! We are a haven for dogs with Strong Opinions about things! 🤗 Doesn’t love people? Come on over! Hates other pets? That’s cool! Lives to chase squirrels and moles? We’re overrun, you do you! We are blessed with 19 gorgeous acres of ♿️ HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE pasture, ancient live oak hammocks, and trails surrounding 3 ponds and a creek leading to a cypress swamp. It’s Old Florida at its very BEST. Canter Woods is on the corner of two dead-end dirt roads with barely any traffic. We are now FULLY FENCED so your dog can safely work out every ounce of excess energy! Seating and picnic tables are provided throughout the property, and there is plenty of natural shade. We have a private road that runs all around the inside of the fence, so if your dog likes to run alongside you while you pedal, go ahead and bring your bicycle! The road/trail is almost completely shaded, so even on the hottest of days, it’s quite pleasant. One of our trails, which fully accommodates any vehicle, leads directly to our main seating area adjacent to not one but two ponds. Guests who use a wheelchair, crutches, or a walker can make it from their vehicle to a sturdy chair or lounger in just 6-8 feet ♿️ If you would like access to this parking spot, simply arrange with us. Our shallow swimming ponds are fed nonstop by a deep artesian well. We also have plenty of wildlife—depending on how rambunctious your dog might be, you may see otters, soft shelled turtles, tortoises, wood ducks, raccoons, armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels. We also have a plentiful supply of water birds—herons, egrets, and more. We are a Certified Wildlife Habitat™️! 🍃🌱🌿🪵🐇 We have horses on the premises in paddocks, and they’re tolerant of dogs and their mischief and love ♥️ our SniffSpot dog guests. Hopefully your dog is tolerant of these large mysterious creatures and doesn’t harass them! If you think your dog might be aggressive with the horses and get over or under their sturdy 4-foot paddock fence, please use a leash when in proximity of the barn and paddock! Do note that our horses are ridden and worked often, so there’s always the possibility that you will encounter “evidence” of a horse having passed there before you 😉 As we say around here, that’s farm life for ya! If that kind of thing bothers you, this probably isn’t the right spot for you. We are not manicured lawn—we are a farm and woods and a certified wildlife habitat. Note that we do have some predator animals such as hawks, owls, and the occasional bobcat, so this area is best suited for dogs over about 15 pounds. We keep our 4-lb chihuahua mostly inside, since we moved here. Parking is near the main entrance gate, close to the barn, and you are invited to start off your visit on the trails, following Bambi’s Run at the main entrance. Poop bags, maps, and a trash can are located on a pine tree at the parking area and near the horse paddock. ✨ PLEASE NOTE: We are specifically requesting that you do NOT come to our farm to “check us out” WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. Please respect that Canter Woods is also our home, and we are closed to anyone who doesn’t have an appointment. For our security and the safety of our guests and their dogs, we have surveillance cameras in use at all our entrances. MEMBERS-ONLY HOURS: We reserve before-work 7:30-10:30 am, Saturday mornings until noon, and all day on Sundays for dog lovers who have chosen to be members. Members also get a lower rate that’s never subject to a price increase + free use of our wash rack and dog shampoo! (a big bonus for the big dogs in our lives!) WE ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 🦋

Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary *Be sure to read ALL details prior to booking*

Thank you to all my amazing guests who have given your dog(s) opportunity to find their calm within by visiting Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary. It is amazing to see your dogs and you finding your inner peace. Thank you too for following all of the rules to keep this SS sustainable into the future. The fee set is the amount needed to allow me to keep this site open and provide improvements when needed. (I understand other sites charge less, but I've learned charging less is not financially sustainable. Hosts do not earn what they charge). I love hosting new and returning guests. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS: A 6'x6' sand box has been added. Please encourage digging in this location. Discourage digging in all other locations for the safety of everyone. A poop bag dispenser has been installed on a post near the gate and will be kept filled. MEMBERSHIP AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST to repeat/returning guests after we have met. Please message me if interested. Jasper Memorial Dog Sanctuary, named in memory of my soul dog Jasper, is no larger than 2 acres in size (I do not have specific data on the actual acreage) and fully fenced. The acreage is a combination of mid-age dense timber, new reforestation and open grass. The area is flanked on two sides by driveway. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀. My dog absolutely loved playing here! We had a big space to play fetch. There were three neighbor dogs that came out early in the morning to potty and were a little barky. They were back in within 5 minutes. My dog didn’t mind them at all but something to consider if your dog doesn’t love other dogs. Otherwise, super easy to find, street parking available, and fully fenced. (:

The place was awesome! My pup wasn’t too fond of the rain, so we will have to come back when it’s not rainy!

Frequently asked questions about Sniffspot dog fields listings

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure but also looking for safety, Sniffspot's private dog fields are a great option!

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues — like potentially aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission, general cleanliness, and an unnatural social environment — Sniffspot private dog parks are much safer. With Sniffspot all bookings are just you and doggy friends you bring with you, so you can say goodbye to the stress of visiting busy dog parks and wondering whether all the dogs off leash will have any negative interactions.

We also require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers) to keep our park areas clean.

And contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot private park locations are vetted and reviewed by guests — so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise, training, or simply relaxing together. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews.

All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.

How can I find dog fields near me?

You can browse Sniffspot fields for rent by using the park locator at the top of this page. You can filter by distance from where you are, park size, amenities, and more.

How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?

All park rental information is available online! This makes it easy for hosts to update quickly if anything changes and for pet owners like you to find the perfect fit for your unique dog.

Start by filtering our private dog parks by fencing, size, and distractions to find a private spot that works for your pup's needs. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields to enjoy being off leash in a safe environment. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. If your dog is particularly small, hosts will note if there are any areas they might be able to escape from.

Review the details of each listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space. Sniffspots are proud to provide opportunities for safe dog exercise, dog training sessions, stress-free adventures through green spaces, hikes on nature trails, and more. Check the park amenities chart for exciting features like an indoor training facility, an agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls, or field parking availability in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow pregnant dogs or dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules, like staying in the designated off-leash dog park property and properly disposing of waste to keep our parks clean.

Make sure to check individual park host rules before visiting, too. Each private dog park location can specify their own restrictions to prevent park maintenance issues and keep everyone safe.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for a private space and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits — they understand that many guests have dogs in training. This is perfect for a private adventure for just you and your canine companion!

We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.

How much do Sniffspot fields cost?

Each host sets their own price for facility and field rentals, so you can check the cost on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing. Most are between $5 - $15 per dog for time slots of one hour, but they vary by field size and amenities.
