From open fields, trails, forests, and a pond, there is no shortage of exciting things for your dog to discover. You may even see some deer or wild turkeys during your visit. All dogs welcome! The property is not fenced, but there is plenty of off leash space. If you are unsure and would like to borrow an 15 foot lead, we can lend one to you.

We are just west of Missoula with over 300 acres of wetland, hills, trees, fields, and streams. The north and south ends of the property have restrooms and there is so much to explore! Tons of things for dogs to sniff: ground squirrel holes, cow pies, animal tracks, etc. For the humans: we don’t spray chemicals and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a spot like this. Views of the M and the mountains surrounding the Grass Valley like you’ve never seen! We have a campground here if you want to stay over just message us and we’ll tell you how to book, we are pumped to offer a space for people to recreate with their dogs. If you have an old/anxious/shy/small dog this is your place, let them run around and have fun without the stress of aggressive or untrained dogs at the local parks! Welcome! We are excited to have you and grateful to our guests for making us the 2nd most visited SniffSpot in all of Florida 🩵 Got a big, energetic dog who needs a lot of space to run? You’ve found it! If your dog is happiest in the water, we are here for you! We are a haven for dogs with Strong Opinions about things! 🤗 Doesn’t love people? Come on over! Hates other pets? That’s cool! Lives to chase squirrels and moles? We’re overrun, you do you! We are blessed with 19 gorgeous acres of ♿️ HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE pasture, ancient live oak hammocks, and trails surrounding 3 ponds and a creek leading to a cypress swamp. It’s Old Florida at its very BEST. Canter Woods is on the corner of two dead-end dirt roads with barely any traffic. We are now FULLY FENCED so your dog can safely work out every ounce of excess energy! Seating and picnic tables are provided throughout the property, and there is plenty of natural shade. We have a private road that runs all around the inside of the fence, so if your dog likes to run alongside you while you pedal, go ahead and bring your bicycle! The road/trail is almost completely shaded, so even on the hottest of days, it’s quite pleasant. One of our trails, which fully accommodates any vehicle, leads directly to our main seating area adjacent to not one but two ponds. Guests who use a wheelchair, crutches, or a walker can make it from their vehicle to a sturdy chair or lounger in just 6-8 feet ♿️ If you would like access to this parking spot, simply arrange with us. Our shallow swimming ponds are fed nonstop by a deep artesian well. We also have plenty of wildlife—depending on how rambunctious your dog might be, you may see otters, soft shelled turtles, tortoises, wood ducks, raccoons, armadillos, rabbits, and squirrels. We also have a plentiful supply of water birds—herons, egrets, and more. We are a Certified Wildlife Habitat™️! 🍃🌱🌿🪵🐇 We have horses on the premises in paddocks, and they’re tolerant of dogs and their mischief and love ♥️ our SniffSpot dog guests. Hopefully your dog is tolerant of these large mysterious creatures and doesn’t harass them! If you think your dog might be aggressive with the horses and get over or under their sturdy 4-foot paddock fence, please use a leash when in proximity of the barn and paddock! Do note that our horses are ridden and worked often, so there’s always the possibility that you will encounter “evidence” of a horse having passed there before you 😉 As we say around here, that’s farm life for ya! If that kind of thing bothers you, this probably isn’t the right spot for you. We are not manicured lawn—we are a farm and woods and a certified wildlife habitat. Note that we do have some predator animals such as hawks, owls, and the occasional bobcat, so this area is best suited for dogs over about 15 pounds. We keep our 4-lb chihuahua mostly inside, since we moved here. Parking is near the main entrance gate, close to the barn, and you are invited to start off your visit on the trails, following Bambi’s Run at the main entrance. Poop bags, maps, and a trash can are located on a pine tree at the parking area and near the horse paddock. ✨ PLEASE NOTE: We are specifically requesting that you do NOT come to our farm to “check us out” WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. Please respect that Canter Woods is also our home, and we are closed to anyone who doesn’t have an appointment. For our security and the safety of our guests and their dogs, we have surveillance cameras in use at all our entrances. MEMBERS-ONLY HOURS: We reserve before-work 7:30-10:30 am, Saturday mornings until noon, and all day on Sundays for dog lovers who have chosen to be members. Members also get a lower rate that’s never subject to a price increase + free use of our wash rack and dog shampoo! (a big bonus for the big dogs in our lives!) 50 acres of juniper trees with rolling hills, wide, easy access trails, scenic views and plenty of thoughtful amenities to make your visit memorable! Seating areas, shaded spots, wide, open trails, dog and people treats, solitude and tranquility!

Acres of fields, creek, woods and trails for you and your dog to enjoy! Our farm is unfenced, feel free to let your dogs off leash at your discretion. We do have farm animals in enclosed areas, they are friendly and enjoy visitors but please make sure your dogs are well behaved with them! We have fields for playing ball and frisbee or any type of training you are working on. Head to the woods for trails and exciting adventures! Be prepared, you may see lots of wildlife including deer, squirrels, turtles, turkeys,woodpeckers and owls! Please have fun “hunting” for turtles, geodes, deer sheds and morels— but do not pick or collect them. Please leave these finds on the farm! Poop bags and trash cans available near the parking area. Note the flags to lead you to the woods, and for property markers- stay inside the property please- you won’t have any trouble with this with so much room to explore. It is hilly and can get steep so only go where you feel comfortable! Wear old shoes if headed to the woods! Have fun!!

A safe, country 300+ acre farm that neighbors call LabLand:). ADDRESS We have a creek, & vacant, WELL fenced field for non aggressive dogs. We have hundreds of sheep so we gotta move sheep off adjacent pasture before you come so call evening ahead so we can prepare for your visit. We work 1 day out from a reservation. Private property with 5+ acres of both a manicured lawn for frisbee tossing, belly rubs, and stick chases! Also we have a woodland walking track for sniffing and exploring, possibly ending in a swim in our 1/4 acre pond. All privately field fenced.

We have 3 fenced in areas ranging in size along with basic agility equipment and short trails. There is a total of 10 acres that include fenced in areas and trails! We are a training facility that specializes in patrol, protection and odor detection dogs. We also offer basic obedience and behavior modification.

Please keep your dog on leash until in the dedicated and signed Sniffspot area. Parking for the wooded trail is available either at the dog training building or in the boulevard at the entrance to the trail. Please do not touch or approach the horses. Water is available outside at the training arena. Come play with us!

20 acres enclosed with 4' high woven wire fence, a mix of open field and heavy woods, sometimes turkey, grouse, gophers, and bunnies, lots of "sniff therapy"! Private entrance is shaded with easy access right onto the wooded trails! The portapotty and dog rinse station are located in the parking area. We have bug sprays and poop bags at the entrance and the far end of the field for you to use if needed. Special visitation hours or larger groups may be available under prior arrangement. Shoot us a message, and we can usually make larger groups or people traveling to/from dog competitions happen! For those traveling, we might also be able to accommodate visits outside of our normal hours. ***now that we have freezing temps at night, we are not leaving water out in the field.***

There are 15 acres of native prairie grasses and plants. There are a few trees and rolling hills. There is approximately 1.5 miles of mowed trails that loop and connect, creating several options for new routes for each visit. There is also an outhouse available if needed. However, it is within our normally private area, so dogs must be on leashes and there are hooks for leashes while in use.
