55We love this Sniffspot!! Fran has made every effort imaginable to make her guests feel welcome and every visit is such a pleasure! Honestly, I think she is one of the kindest and most generous people I've met in my lifetime and we are so honored to have the opportunity to share her beautiful space. We feel very secure and happy whenever we are here. Recently Fran added some agility equipment in one of the fields and Cooper had a blast! Cannot wait to visit again soon! Thank you Fran! :-)
55This Kent Ranch Setting has exceeded my expectations. The owner was very thoughtful of putting out snacks for the human and dogs. Starbucks coffee, tea, cocoa, trial mix, cold drinks, covered sitting area, even a bluetooth speaker system. Poop bags and trash can are provided for. Water and toys for the dogs to drink and play. There was a kiddy poll which the owner said we can fill up with water for the dogs to play. There are 3 large enclosed areas and each area can be accessed within the interconnected fence. We were the only one there so she said feel free to open all the gates to let the dogs run freely. I will plan to have a husky meet there sometimes in the near future.
55This sniffspot is AMAZING. Fran is incredibly welcoming, she really wants you and your pup to have the best time. There were plenty of toys of all kinds (bubbles, chuck its, soccer balls, tug ropes, frisbees, all of it!). All of the yards were fully fenced in, and each one can be separated off from the others. This would be a fantastic place to bring a few dogs to play together or to meet for the first time. We will definitely be frequenting this spot!
55We've been to several Sniffspots and this is our favorite. I'm not sure what it is about this place but we always just feel soooo happy here! Fran sets the bar. She is the kindest, most incredible host and has gone to great lengths to make her guests feel 100% welcome and comfortable. Really cannot say enough...the ultimate Sniffspot for sure. 😌
55Fran has created the most accommodating and welcoming location to bring our 70lb dog who loves to run! 4 fields offer plenty of room, our pup got great exercise in a very secure setting. Visual barriers were set up so the dogs can't see the neighboring property. Our pup heard a dog bark in the distance, but couldn't see another dog and quickly shifted her attention back to her game of fetch! The space was clean, tidy, with no holes in the fencing for potential escaping. Fran had hot tea and coffee available along with hand warmers and dog toys! We plan on making this part of our weekly routine!
55The host was so gracious and friendly, she was outside when I pulled up and gave me a little tour! There was also snacks and water available for humans, as well as multiple bins filled with different toys and snacks for the dog! The yard has 4 different fields, TONS of space and it was all clean and well maintained. My pup left here exhausted, we will definitely be booking this spot again!
55I love this place! We went twice this weekend, once with my dogs friend, and another time with a dog she was just meeting. Every time we go there is something new to see. Fran is an excellent and thoughtful host.
55So far our favorite sniff spot! We traveled 30 minutes and it was well worth it. There were 4 different fields with different enrichment activities, you could always open the gates, in between the fields, for more running space. There were multiple toy boxes and snacks/beverages for the humans. There is also undercover shelter in a couple of the fields. We didn’t see any dogs while we there and my pups had a blast!
55Ranch Setting was a wonderful experience for us and our dog Maisie. There was tons of space to play, many activities, and shaded areas to escape the sun. Fran was very communicative and made sure we had a great time. There was also a pool that we filled up to keep Maisie cool. We will definitely visit again.
55My pups and I love this spot! There's so much space for them to run about and the owner really makes it a pleasant place for both the dogs and their people. It's pretty quiet and the property borders with a neighbor, but we haven't had any issues with that. We've been twice so far and we'll definitely be reserving again!

Description

** We have temporarily deactivated our Sniff Spot. Look for updates here. We have 5 fully-fenced fields. Each field offers something a little different. Guests have all 5 fields for their private use at their reserved time. There are no other guests present at your booking time. Fields are pesticide-free, fertilizer-free, mowed frequently, and connected via internal gates with limited opportunities to encounter deer or other forest animal droppings. We ask that all "played with" toys are placed in the "dirty toy" bucket for the HOST to clean between guests which lessens the risk of shared bacteria and viruses. Our guests are not required to clean the toys or water buckets as indicated in the "general Sniff Spot rules". AMENITIES INCLUDE: Covered seating. Accessible water in each field ensuring the freshest possible hydration. Pet waste bags and on-site pet waste disposal. Heated water buckets during cold weather. Fan cooled shelter during warm weather. Cell phone charging station. Stereo Portable Bluetooth speaker Small and large kiddie pools during warm weather Occasional pet periodicals Tree tug toys in two fields. THE SNIFF SPOT TREASURE BOXES in 4 of our 5 fields include small and large pet toys that are cleaned between guests. Our goal is to make sure you know what to expect when you arrive for your pet's physical and mental exercise. When making reservations which include friends, please provide your friend's first name to ensure that we can properly greet them with a personal message and a first-visit welcome gift. Additionally, your pet will receive a special goodie on or around their birthday so feel free to let us know the date. We're located 30 acres from Tahoma National Cemetary so while visiting us, you may hear a 21 gun salute in the distance. You may also see a bald eagle or two perched on one of our fir trees from time to time. Happy sniffing!

Hazards

Blackberries lining the inside of field #3 . Some uneven ground in three of the five fields.

Greetings! We are located just north of Covington. We have an alpaca and one horse which are kept away from our "sniff spots". We understand that not every dog can visit populated dog parks, and why we are delighted to offer private play space for you. We have five fully-fenced fields to offer our guests and their pups. Our inside-only pup is not permitted to be outside while our guests are present. We're very conscious of the comfort and safety of our guests and welcome special accommodations for pets, RV and handicap parking.

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. A garbage container for poo bags is available at the top driveway as you exit under the Big Leaf Maple tree on the right in the large gray bin marked "Garbage". We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries!
