55WOW!! What an absolute gem. We were so grateful the hosts allowed us to bring our kids and have a family picnic! Our kids and pups loved the creek and exploring all around it for nearly two hours. Once we got past the fence, we didn't see a single person, animal, or car....just serene nature. Wear proper shoes/clothing for a wooded hike - a few steep areas, but nothing our toddler couldn't navigate. My husband was already planning "next time" before we even pulled out of the driveway.
45Bonnie & I had a great time, she loved the woods & creek! The meadow beside the house was lovely too. I found the hillside paths down to the creek somewhat difficult to identify, but we found our way. It's quite steep, so definitely wear good hiking shoes or boots. Beautiful setting, lovely drive from Northern Virginia.

Description

Come for our glorious sunrises on the creek and sunsets in the fields or just to enjoy the day exploring the fields and creek. The dog area starts past the broken black fence behind the house and goes down through the fields and into the woods. I would appreciate it if you would kindly please keep the dogs leashes and wait until you are past the broken fence to allow your dog to do any business. To get to the creek, go past the broken fence and keep going down the hill to the back tree line. I have included a map in the pictures. And then just keep walking; it’s about five minutes from the house to the trailhead. We have set out fluorescent yellow markers on the trees on the back tree line as you approach the trail. We also put up a blue sign that says “To The Creek” at the trail head. Once in the woods, walk down the steep hill and take the trail to the right at the bottom of the hill. You will see a red barn. That trail will take you out to a spot where your dog can splash around and I’ve cut a few trails to explore back there. We are looking forward to having you and please reach out if you need anything special or want to chat before coming.

Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.
