The Summit Spot in Amesbury (support a local dog rescue!)

** A portion from every booking goes to a local New England dog rescue!! Come and burn some energy in a fully fenced in yard located in Amesbury, conveniently off I495 and Route 150. Quiet neighborhood, other than the current construction going on at Baileys Pond and the humming (or occasional harley) sound from I495. This is not your landscapers dream yard!! Its where dogs play, dig holes, chew on sticks, destroy toys, chase bunnies and squirrels and full on wrestle with each other- so have fun and don’t twist an ankle! There are dogs on ALL sides of us but not likely any will be visible at our fence during your visit- but you may see or hear them barking. On the wood fence side is "Zane" our neighbors lab who is a talker. Feel free to use chairs and table if they are out. (Weather permitting). If you prefer to use a bag to pick up poop- there are some in the treat bin on the right as you enter through the gate. There is a scooper on the other side of the yard at the opposite gate, please toss bagged or scooped waste in the small blue lined trash bin. **Weather permitting** the water fountain feature will be on for your pups drinking pleasure (unless you request we put it off). If its rained recently there may be areas in the yard with mud, particularly around the entry gate/shed, so heads up. Winter weather may change things on a dime, so I’ll do my best to communicate to ensure safety. We are open Monday - Thursday 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Please follow booking policies requiring up to 2 hours for cancelling or rescheduling). I hope you and your pups enjoy your visit and burn some energy at The Summit Spot!

Large Fenced in Yard with Some Woods to Explore

I have a large fenced in yard. It is chain link and 6ft tall. It is reinforced at the bottom. There is a woodsy area in the yard for dogs to explore as well. Lots of room to run! You may notice your dog spends most of his/her time sniffing around instead of running. This is typical for the first visit: 1. It is a new space for them and they get a lot of information through their nose 2. Lots of dogs have been in my yard so there is so much to smell. This is still great enrichment and will lead to a tired and fulfilled dog. Please bring your own dog toys, water, and water bowl. If your dog poops (even if in the woods), can you please pick it up? I have a dog that likes to eat poop - so gross! You may notice that sometimes my deck is gated off. I do this so that the visiting dogs aren't distracted by the sliding door, standing in front of it thinking they are there to come into the house instead of playing in the yard. You are more than welcome to take one of them down if you want to sit up on the deck. If I forget to put the gate up and you want to block your dog from coming up on the deck, feel free to put it on the stairs to block the entryway. Other things worth mentioning: - Depending on the weather and time of the year, parts of the yard may be icy and/or muddy! Brings towels to wipe down your dog afterwards. If you visit early spring, you may see ground bees flying around on the south facing side of the house. By late April, you won't even know they are there. They are very docile (in fact most species don't have stingers) and are great pollinators. - I also dog sit out of my home. Some dogs that I watch are vocal and may bark the whole time you are visiting. If your booking time is during a time that I am home, I can ensure that they are kept quiet and don’t interfere with your visit. If hearing barking coming from my house is something that will impact your visit, feel free to reach out to me beforehand to confirm whether or not I am dog sitting and/or will be home. If there is anything I can do to make this a more enjoyable experience, please message me with feedback :) Hope you have a great time! Bear Brook Canine Camp

Fully fenced in acre with trails. We now have lighting for nighttime use. Approximately six times around the trails equals a mile. We have chuck-it throws and balls, many toys, and lots of area for you and your dog to romp around. The main entrance to yard can be found by entering the second driveway and driving past the wood for sale bin and the solar barn. Designated parking is marked to the right of the entrance gate. In the winter, this area can be difficult to get to without four wheel drive. If you prefer to park in the driveway, please text me. We have reserved the third garage bay for winter Sniffspot parking. There is entry to the yard through this garage bay. If parking in the driveway….There is a garage door opener hanging under the keypad on the left side of the third garage door. This is your entry to the garage. Once inside, please use garage door opener hanging on yard entrance door to close the garage door during your visit. Please repeat steps when you leave ensuring all doors and fence gates are securely closed behind you. As stated earlier, if you prefer to continue parking out back and your vehicle can get out there, feel free to use that entrance to the yard. However, if that driveway is unpassable due to mud, it will be blocked off and you will have to use the driveway parking. Wherever you park, please feel free to help yourself to coffee, hot chocolate, water and snacks located in the third garage bay. There’s also water bowls and water as well as fresh towels for your pups located in the garage. We would appreciate a 24 hour notice for all reservation changes or cancellations. This gives us an opportunity to fill that newly vacant slot. Thank you for your understanding. Feel free to reach out via text 603-682-7216 with any questions. Enjoy! Melodie
