Baby pool filled with cool water, water bucket with a hose, lots of toys.
This spot is great! It would be even better in the winter and less hot spring time because it’s hot!
My dogs had a blast.
Great open spot with lots of room to run. I wanted a large space to practice recall, and it fit the bill. The hose wasn't turned on during my visit, so I recommend bringing some extra water just in case. My girl came home nice and tired.
The spot had some agility equipment, seating area, shade tent, poop bags, and access to water which was nice. The field was dry and yellow, but recently cut so I figured we wouldn’t have issues with Foxtails. There was a dog barking behind the house, but it was in a kennel so no issues. Things were going good for about the first 30 minutes, but then three dogs from the neighboring house charged the fence. My dog is reactive and we’ve worked hard to avoid these types of situations. The dogs began to fence fight so I had to pull out my dog horn. As soon as it sounded, the dogs ran back to their house. While checking out my dog, I found him riddled with fox tails! I pulled out all I could on the spot and we left immediately. I checked him over at home thoroughly removing a few more. I do not recommend this place for anybody who has a dog reactive dog nor for use in dry months when it’s just dry brush, unless you’re just using it as a training field and your dog will be on a leash.
Loved the agility equipment. I love the drive, It was my second time out, easy to get too an perfect amount of space.
Very beautiful and my dogs had lots of fun
Had a good time here for our second visit. Owner added a picnic style table and a water hose. There are three dogs that came out for a short while, one of who was a barker. This did allow for some practice with our reactive boy (on a leash) that we found to be helpful. Thanks again!
SniffSpot was easy to find and Kathi was responsive to questions prior to our first visit. Nice large open field for dogs to run, sniff, and play. Owner provides dog toys and an AMAZING dog poop container with bags!! We brought our own water based on other reviews. Will definitely be adding this SniffSpot to the mix. Access to water (a water hose) and shade would be nice, but for an hour it’s not an issue most of the year. Thank you for sharing your space with us; it is appreciated!
This field was absolutely beautiful and the ground was nice and dry. So many spots to sniff and plenty of area to run. We had a great time however if you have a reactive pooch there were 2 shelty-type dogs that came right up to the fence to check on my boys. It is just a wire/wood frame fence and short so if your pup couldn’t handle that then just be aware. The 2 dogs were well behaved and ran back home after 2-3 minutes. The fence is secure but short. My three boys had a total blast. Well worth the drive. Go the long way there! The drive is gorgeous.
My husband and I took our 2-year old Boxer here for some much needed playtime and had a blast. We brought our own ball and frisbees but there are dog toys there for your use. There is also a small jump obstacle in the middle of the space if your dog likes to jump…ours definitely does! The host was briefly there installing a poop station and seemed friendly. Our Boxer definitely thought so! Not much in the way of shade which was fine for us in the winter. It was a lovely day and we look forward to going back with another doggie friend.
It’s wide open so of course dogs love it. However, bring water and chairs as there is none there. Also the entrance is on a very busy street with a difficult gate. If you have one manageable dog on a leash it’s probably doable with your chair and water/bowls you’re bringing in. But with multiple dogs and if you’re partially handicapped and can’t wrangle all the dogs and gear, that gate is a nightmare on that street. Given that there are no amenities there, I’d rather not fight a gate for that
Great space enjoyed it very much . The host was kind and let us reschedule with no hassle.
Very pretty and peaceful spot. My dogs had a great time!
The property is not secure for dogs. We ended up leaving after 40 minutes due to concern about dogs getting out. Two holes in the fence where large dogs can squeeze through. Fence is not high enough on some sides (2-3 feet maybe) so dogs can jump over. It is by a busy road. Not safe. But plenty large. Would be good with new fence. Also, has electrical fence. Not sure if active, but did not feel safe.
Poe and I had a blast! The location was easy to find with the Host’s instructions. Kathi was also quickly responsive to a couple questions that I had before and during the visit. We’ll definitely be back.
