55Great place! Wide open yard and my dog had a really fun time. He also really liked the toys. I appreciated the wet wipes as well. It's been a bit dry so parts of the years were dusty. I got to wipe down my dog after he had a nice time running around.
55Securely fenced, a few sloping grade changes throughout the yard, nice dirt area under the trees for shade and light digging. Hose, towels, toys, and poop bags all provided. My two pit mixes had a great time. 😀
55My pups had a great time!
55Had a great time! Thank you!
55Great yard for the pups to run and play! We had everything we needed from tons of tennis balls to a full bowl of water :) will definitely come back. We had a great time.
55Such a nice, clean, private spot with lots of room for our aussie to run around. Enough space to throw a frisbee and get some good sniffs in. The welcome sign with our names was the cutest touch, the spot was easy to find, and there was shade and Adirondack chairs for the humans. Water provided, and also towels to use which is super nice! We did hear a dog barking in the distance but didn’t see any dogs or hear them up close, and my reactive dog was not bothered at all by this. We loved it here and this spot is close to our place so we will definitely be back!
55I return to this spot because it’s clean, well-secured, and has plenty of run-around space for a few goofy pit bulls. An hour here and the “kids” are chill for the rest of the day!
55Another great visit! Left towels and had hose to rinse dogs paws off on todays wet morning. Very appreciated! 😊
55Wonderful Sniffspot. Welcoming, secure fence, plenty of space for our pup to stretch his legs and clean. :) hope to visit again soon.
55Place was good, as described. Unfortunately we had to leave after 5 minutes as my dog got overwhelmed with all new smells and started to show anxiety. She is very skittish and I didn’t want to push it. Welcome sign was so nice.

Description

Huge quiet yard in Delridge. All you need to bring is your dog(s) and some treats! We have toys, tennis balls (including a Chuckit thrower), water bowl and hose, poop bags and Adirondack chairs for the humans to relax in. Private and secure- we have a new 6 foot chain link fence with privacy panels facing the street; there are woods behind us and hedges on either side that minimize view of the neighbors. Conveniently located just off Delridge Way with plenty of street parking. Come enjoy!

My husband and I live with our two dogs in West Seattle. One of our dogs is reactive and Sniffspot was a lifesaver for us when we didn’t have a yard. We are happy that we get to share now that we have space of our own.

A world-class Pacific Northwest natural rainforest adventure awaits you and your best friends on 66-year-old trails, through 2 acres of trails, forest, tall old growth trees, a creek, and open areas for ball throwing and chasing sticks on 9 terraces. Starting with your choice of 2 entrance paths on the far left and right over a bluff that winds around to The Landing Pad, through other trails forming circles to run around on and play. ('Yes, there are 2 paths you can go by'). At the very bottom, our Madhatter trail leads to a creek. The property is partially fenced and has natural barriers. It is bounded by a fence at the top, a fence on one L-shaped side, a cliff, and creek on the other. Bring more than one dog, if at all possible, because they LOVE to play 'Hide and Go Seek', and chase each other around in circles on the switchback trails, down the hill to the creek and back up the hill to the lodge. This tranquil forest was mostly clear-cut between 66 to 100 years ago then not replanted. So we replanted our 2-acre forest with 600+ trees. The ground is wood chips, sand, Pacific Northwest duff, with 160ft tall Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Alder, Big Leaf Maple trees, 1 Madrona, ferns, and native bushes with views of a 20-acre privately owned forested wetland. We prepared the yard as a Sniffspot for dogs. Rarely seen are animals in the forest - occasional wild rabbits, moles, squirrels, mountain beavers, raccoons, mice, shrews, voles, and weasels. Many birds are seen and heard here- thrush, grosbeaks, warblers, sparrows, starlings, chickadees, flycatchers, redstarts, vireos, tanager, pewees, orioles, woodpeckers - shorebirds, waterfowl, raptors, such as hawks, and American Bald Eagles. This is a rugged forested area so be careful of footing! watch for signs of moles and Mountain beaver underground trails crossing the paths, especially along Secret Lane, Lover's Lane, and Hidden Lane (signs to be added soon). Do wear boots if you plan to access the creek. We spent 4+ years removing invasive bushes, cutting down dead trees, and creating places for you to run, walk, play, pause, sit, and enjoy your dogs in this natural rainforest, one mile from the South Sound. When you park you can close the entry gate at the top. A garbage container for poo bags is available at the top driveway as you exit under the Big Leaf Maple tree on the right in the large gray bin marked "Garbage". We feel a lot of delight here. We welcome you to enjoy it now! 2 Starbucks are less than 5 minutes away in either direction (bathrooms are available there). Bigfoot Java is at 4627 SW 320th St. (no bathroom but open 24x7) Join us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61556216197208 or search "Wonderlane World Famous Sniffspot" :-) Wonderlane is a place to commune with nature, a peaceful place to breathe in nature with some walks over and around 2 acres of forested hills. You can't get lost, just keep going up if you are unsure. When it is raining and for water dogs, bring a towel to dry off pups' paws. There is water to wash dogs down near the creek. Actually there are water hydrants in most areas. If your dog is reactive and you want to, you may keep your pup leashed the 20 ft from your vehicle to the top of either trailhead. When leaving via either trail at the top you can easily pause to leash your dog if you wish. PS. If your dog doesn't want to leave, contact me and I'll ring the Magic Chuck Waggin' Triangle, and your dog will come. No worries!
