Location

Description

Kiia’s Spot is an open grassy field tucked away at the end of a residential street surrounded by trees and wildlife! Approximately 1 acre of property fully accessible for you and your pup! There’s sticks o’plenty to find, take home or bury for later. ;) Come enjoy a full speed sprint or hardcore game of fetch, you have the space! Or listen to the birds and chase the rabbits to build your hunting prowess. There is only one side that is fully fenced and the rest is open so I highly encourage your companion to be well trained with recall or on a long lead. There is more acreage around me so if your four-legged companion takes a joy run, they may be gone exploring for days! I also do my best to keep the spot mowed but in the event you arrive during a non-mowed day, you’ll be sure to have a good tall grass game of hide and seek! I ask that you keep your adventures contained between the entrance and the two large trees that slightly divides my yard. It is okay if your companion roams afield in the rest of the yard but the areas around my residence may not be safe for doggos. This residential “grassy field” has all the privacy in the world—just you and your buddy! You may park outside the gate or on the gravel on the right driveway (which is mine). The left is shared with two other neighbors so I ask for courtesy! Please clean up after your companion so that this spot can stay clean for others to enjoy! Kiia’s Spot is named after my beloved Alaskan Malamute rescue, Kiia. She passed away unexpectedly December 2021 and this was her favorite spot to run and explore! So I have given this spot to SniffSpot in honor of my four legged companion and I hope you enjoy it too!

This was a great spot and my dogs got very tired! I was a little confused about where exactly the spot was, and where to park. But the host was really responsive and friendly. It’s possible for dogs to get out if they wanted, but mine love to chase the ball so it wasn’t a problem. Very quiet and private area.

Meet your host

Hello, my name is Devon and this is “Kiia’s Spot”. I live in a quiet spot in Tacoma on approximately 2 acres. This little park was Kiia’s favorite place, so I hope you enjoy it too!

Kota’s Place - huge yard, great for agile dogs!

***New added information at the bottom*** Yard rental for dogs (and people!) to exercise, play, and sniff to their hearts content! Yard can also be rented by dog/animal trainers for a set fee instead of price per dog. Inquire if you’d like more information. Fully fenced backyard. Grass is somewhat long in some of the pictures, but it will be mowed prior to your visit. There is a rock pile for any agile dog that likes to climb. We also have a large galvanized metal troth that can be filled with water if your dog likes to play in water, we would just need at least 3/4 hours advanced notice so we have enough time fill it for you, it is pictured. The covered structure in the middle of the yard has camping chairs next to it and a picnic table you can use. Or you could relax on the large covered porch that has 3 cozy chairs (one is a designated dog chair actually, our girl lounges outside with us sometimes so she has a seat of her own! Other pups can use it as well. It is the chair farthest to your right if you’re looking at the porch from the yard and even has a dog blanket incase one of your pups gets cold and needs a rest.) There’s also a power strip between two of the cozy chairs that you can plug into if needed. We just ask that you please limit it to no more than 3 devices plugged in. We can provide an electric heater to be used on the porch if needed, just be sure to add the small fee for that to your booking. There are plenty of scent trails to be followed as we often have small wildlife coming through the yard. Rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, and plenty of birds that our dog still tries to catch even though she doesn’t stand a chance 😂 It is a fairly private back yard, so it is quite relaxing aside from the occasional loud barking of our neighbor dogs. We have an American bulldog/brittany spaniel mix, but she will be kept inside with us during your visit. You may hear her loud mouth from time to time, she always fusses when other dogs are using her yard and she can’t join them 😀…There is plenty of parking, you can even open the gate and pull your vehicle into the carport if you would like. We could even dog-sit if needed for a fee so long as your dog is kind and comfortable with us. Cost could be discussed. We live at the end of a gravel road so it is fairly secluded, but still close enough to the main roads that go through Graham/Puyallup. Only about 5-7 minutes from the Fred Meyer located on Meridian and 176th in Puyallup. There is a large white wooden gate that is open leading into the property. Pull in and to the right, park in front of the tall garage and access the backyard through the large metal cattle gate between the garage and house. Lift it up and opening outwardly. It may be blocked from opening by a cinder block on the ground, so you can just move that out of the way. We only put it there because our girl is an escape artist and figured out how to hit it with her nose enough times to pop it open. The little turd, she’s a strong one! If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! Thanks! We hope you and your pet enjoy your visit! We will be adding a toy bin in the near future, for now you may find a stray ball or two in the yard. Our dog is a heavy chewer, so toys don’t last long around here unfortunately. If you have any specific toy requests, feel free to let us know, we do our best to please person and pups alike! If you would like to book at a different time than what is available, please contact me. I’m pretty flexible so I’m sure we can work something out. Inflatable hot tub is now up and running, so you can add an hour of soak time to your booking if you would like 🙂 We’re going to implement a monthly “yummy thank you” for our 4 and 8 hour per month membership holders, so I encourage our patrons to sign up for a membership! Each 4 and 8 hour membership holder can pick any meal that they’d like me to make for them once per month, and I’ll make enough for 2 servings(can fix larger servings at an additional cost of $3 per person depending on desired meal.) I’m quite the maestro in the kitchen, so I promise you won’t regret it! The 8 hour monthly membership will also include a custom mocktail to go with your meal(We can always spike it with whatever liquor you bring along.) And a special treat for your pup! We can easily accommodate allergies/food aversions. All memberships come with other occasional perks/gifts as well. Thanks so much for your patronage! Have a great day!
