Reviews are a super important part of attracting sniff spot guests. The First Review Program offers guests a rebate on their visit price if they write the first review on a sniff spot. So if hosts do not have any reviews and a guest visits that sniff spot and writes a review, they can claim a rebate on their visit.
Here is how it works:
1) Find a sniff spot with no reviews,
2) Book the sniff spot like you normally would,
3) Once you submit your review, simply email email@example.com with your account email and provide the link to the listing you reviewed,
4) We will issue you a refund for that visit on your payment card.
There is no cap on how many visits you can claim for this program. You could visit sniff spot for free every day if you wanted! Note: you need to claim your refund within the same calendar month as your visit for it to be valid.
As of today, Sniffspot is enabling our hosts to donate all or a portion of their earnings to the rescue of their choice!
Over the past few years, rescues in the United States have saved millions of dogs from being euthanized1. They do this by building networks for bringing dogs from “high kill” shelters to safe temporary and permanent homes (often through a foster network). The rescues that I have seen are running on tight budgets, normally driven by the passion and energy of a single person or a small group of people. This is hard work! Transporting and sheltering dogs has myriad headaches, issues and unexpected costs.
Sniffspot has been partnering with rescues since we first started, from our Dog Gone Seattle support event in April to providing safe spaces for rescues, adoptees and fosters to take their pups. Many of our hosts are also affiliated with rescues. Recently, the host of Fully Fenced Carnation Country Yard, Bruce, brought up an amazing idea for a further way Sniffspot can partner with rescues. Based on Bruce’s suggestion, as of today, we have enabled Sniffspot hosts to donate all or a portion of their earnings to the rescue of their choice!

The vast majority of our hosts never decline a reservation. Yet, the way our system has been set up hosts need to manually confirm every reservation they get. This is tiresome and stressful for hosts and a lot of work and constant vigilance.
We want to make it easier to be a host, so we are launching Booking Preferences. With Booking Preferences, you can set your listing to one of two options:
