55Wonderful spot! Had a great time with my 2 pups…they were able to run and play and get their “wiggles” out. Trails were clean and well maintained and lots of fun stuff to see. Chrissy M.

55Lovely sniffspot! Great set of trails for your dog to sniff around. They are very well maintained and after we walked around each trail we went for a jog throughout the area. I felt safe to let my dog off leash since everyrhing was fenced off. The directions and signs were also very clear. A+ spot. Yuliana H.

55This place was exactly what we needed! Multiple lovely trails, and easy to find the way back to the cars. The host's directions are perfect, so no confusion of knowing where to go. So handy to have a trash can at the parking area too. Love all the added touches - gnomes, Buddhas, snail, mirror, mini campground, etc. The dogs had a blast. We will be back!Gwen W.

55We love this location! However, there is unfortunately almost always a dog out by the gate when we arrive. You have to park to get out and open the gate up. This (very sweet pup) at the gate always sets off my dog-reactive dog in the car. We are trying to limit the rehearsal of this behavior for his counter conditioning training so this is kind of a bummer. But, the site is still worth the trip if this isn't a deal breaker for you. We've never run into the dog at the actual sniff spot area but she's almost always visible from the car. Karli L.

55We had a great time! My dogs LOVE adventures in the woods but of course, I don’t want to run into other dogs so this sniff spot was perfect! We typically walk 2-2.5 miles every morning and we were able to walk 2 miles and look at all the “decorations”. I came home with two very exhausted dogs! We will be back!Sharlin F.

55This was a Perfect secure place for me to test my dogs off leash. It was beautiful with grassy Meadows. The trees keep it from being too hot. The dogs seem to really enjoy themselves. The host was friendly and communicative. I will definitely be back. I recommend booking at least an hour so you can enjoy all there is to see.Cindy S.

55This is such an awesome place. Lots of trails to explore and a creek too. There are outhouses and lots of benches throughout the property. We brought a picnic and our two hours just flew by. We drove from Olympia and it was well worth the drive. Your dog will LOVE it here and so will you. Jennifer S.

55Our second visit in about a week. We had more time and loved every minute, exploring more paths and trails. Even got some great family pictures while we were visiting. I'm telling everyone I know to go check it out. Totally worth it, even if you have a small drive to get there. Cindy S.

55This is such a great sniffspot! Grace was so kind in welcoming us and providing helpful things like water for the dogs, hand sanitizer, and toys. She even gave some cookies for the humans and a biscuit for the dog! The land is pretty cool to explore and our dog loved the creek. Our dog doesn't have reliable recall and so we had to keep her on a long lead. Overall, a great experience!Jane D.

55This is truly one of my favorite spots. It's like a little fairytale forest just an hour from Seattle. It feels SAFE which is very important to me after experiencing several dog attacks on hiking trails, Double Bluff, and at dog parks. I have two athletic dogs who need a lot of exercise plus brain enrichment. This spot is perfect! It's fully fenced, incredibly peaceful for me, and a lot of smells and obstacles for my pups. Also, Grace is an amazing host! One word of caution...on the way to the sniffspot entrance, you have to walk by a fenced pasture with goats and a horse - the goats are super friendly while the horse mostly ignores us. However, if your dog is reactive to farm animals, it's best to keep them leashed until you get over the hill and away from sight and smells of the pasture buddies. Carol W.

FAQ about our Eastsound dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
