55such a magical place
55Such a fun place to explore! Our dog had a great time running all of the trails and saying hi to the chickens. One of the best sniff spots we have been to!
55Great property to exercise your dogs. Our dogs loved the trails so much they didn't even want to play ball. Thank you
55what a great sniffspot. we have gone to several and this is at the top of our list ❤️
55A wonderful property to explore - lots of variety.
55It was so pretty back there and the various levels gave my pup a big adventure!
55This is by far our favorite Sniffspot so far! It’s like a Pacific Northwest flower garden. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly! Thank you for sharing your amazing Sniffspot with us!!
55Amazing as always. Love this spot SO MUCH. The dogs are happy as clams and so am I. A lovely, beautiful quiet spot. Had to leave another comment. ❤️

Location

Gig Harbor, Washington

Description

2.1 acres of fully-fenced heaven. As a dog owner/lover, this provides a necessary peace of mind. Pull inside the gate, and let ‘em lose! Poop happens typically w/in first 10 mins; bags can be disposed in trash. Hose water available by front door, back patio, and chicken coop area. All areas are fair game once you are inside the gate. Once a stop on the Gig Harbor Garden Tour, this property boasts a variety of terrain to keep your pup(s) busy for hours. We are at the end of a private lane, and the back of the property abuts to 50 acres of DNR. Sightings of cattle, wild peacocks, deer, raccoons and grouse are common. Make yourself (and family) at home around the fire pit, small orchard, tree house, trampoline, flagstone paths and trails. Good shoes highly recommended. NOTE: Sniffspot is promoting their “Sniffpass”, and they have the box automatically checked to “Opt in” when you make a booking. This is out of my control. I do not want my guests to feel Sniffpass is necessary to book my spot. Please uncheck that box if you are not interested to avoid unnecessary “surprise” charges upon checkout (unless you want to subscribe, which is totally ok too!).

Cleanliness

98% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Flagstone paths can be slick this time of year. Use the steps where possible. The steps up top leading to the back patio/turf area can also be slick in the wet months. Use the handrail.

Active and outdoorsy, I have hiked and climbed and ran to stay fit most of my life, and mostly with a pup by my side. I’m excited to share this exceptional space with other dog lovers.

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor

Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. There are two driveways onto the property. You want the north one with the sign "Ericksen." After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Please do not enter the farmhouse yard. The residents of the farmhouse are not the sniffspot hosts. For any questions, issues, or suggestions about how I can improve this spot, please drop me a message or call me, Annika, at 253-346-5863. New: accepting donations for COMPOST, like leaves, lawn clippings, pumpkins, newspaper, fruit/veg peels, coffee grounds, annual plants including tomatoes, used potting soil, tree trimmings, etc. You'll see the compost receptacle as you come up the driveway.
