55This is an awesome little hike with a good uphill to get you started! Take your time going up and there is a nice bench with water for your pup on the way up to take a breath and take in the scenery. On top you can enjoy multiple little loop trails with great views (even better on a not smokey day). Wear good hiking shoes and watch your step in some places where there is stubble from cut brush. There are more benches (water, poop bags and garbage cans). Bring a snack along for a picnic and enjoy the views. There are spots wide enough for a ball or frisbee but this is not fenced so a long line might be a good idea and good practice too. So...go climb a hill and conquer those views. Karen J.

55Love the area. I scheduled the wrong park without realizing and Carol was gracious enough to let us use it anyway, as long as we were out 15 minutes before the next guests. Great experience!Elena W.

55We love this spot! There are signs, but I thought I’d mention it here. Please pick up after your dog. Even if you think no one will walk where they poop. Tess J.

55Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Very safely fenced too. Some of the terrain is - as the host notes online - a bit hilly, so do wear good hiking shoes and bring a walking stick to fully explore, but my older golden completely loved this place! We’re planning to make it a regular happy doggy field trip destination.Blaine A.

55Great experience with our 8 month old Golden and his brother! We also enjoyed letting the kids explore and play alongside the dogs. We were very pleased that it wasn’t muddy, and the recently fallen leaves were extra fun for the kids and pups to run through. Loved hiking up and down the trails on the big hill! We hope to return again soon. Kari D.

55First time visiting this SniffSpot and I had no trouble finding it. GPS was accurate and signs were clear. I’ve got 2 senior dogs, both just over 13, that are still quite active but have had too many negative encounters with other doggies. These SniffSpots give them freedom to roam, sniff, and play with no drama. They absolutely loved their time here. It was a crisp fall morning with lots of leaves on the ground and they loved every minute of our visit. We’ll be back!Lisa H.

55Hilly spot with trees and small trails to explore. My dogs had plenty of room to run and sniff around. They loved spying on the chickens in the adjacent field. The fencing seemed secure and there were no visible humans or dogs around. Bring water for your dogs and wear sturdy boots. We will definitely be back!AMY T.

55We had a great time at this spot. Lots of space to run around. Great sniffs. Good trails to walk around on. Even after all the rain we have had it wasn’t muddy. The parking area was the the only area that was muddy. This spot is on a hill so got a little leg work out.
Good fencing. Susan D.

55This is a beautiful spot and the fencing is wonderful. We were so hopeful to wear out our girl all over the hills and with the open space/trails. I did not realize how close to the fence the chicken pen was and this was our dog’s first time seeing chickens. She has a high prey drive and was not interested in exploring the sniff spot, she only wanted to watch the birds!Courtney G.

FAQ about our Potlatch dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
How can I find dog fields in Potlatch?
There are 5 dog fields in the Potlatch area. The most popular dog field is Dawn to Dusk Doggy Domain. You can browse all of our dog fields here.
How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
How much do Sniffspot fields cost?
Dog fields in the Potlatch area range from $5.0 and $5.0. The least expensive dog field is Dawn to Dusk Doggy Domain. The most expensive dog field is Dawn to Dusk Doggy Domain. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
