55Consistently our favorite local spot! Having livestock grazing calmly at a distance is a nice bonus for exposure and training. Thanks again to Colleen for offering this great space at an affordable cost.
55Look forward to returning!
55My favorite sniff spot so far, huge area, well fenced, our pup absolutely loved it. Tons of toys to play with.
55Wonderful as always!!
55Blue and I love this space!
55Beautiful surroundings, cows in the distance, lots to sniff. My dog enjoyed herself thoroughly.
45I loved the area in our county, but even in the smaller area I had to be viligiant that my super curious, hyper reactive, rescue lab didn't slip through 6 gaps. This was our first off leash area and I'll go back but on a long leash to train her.
55Such a fun and safe space to play! Doggo knows to chase the ball but not fetch it, so I ended up walking all over the beautiful yard as we played. Friendly neighbors!
55This was our first Sniffspot and it was awesome! We were a bit nervous because this was our first free run with our 6 mos old border collie mutt, but it was 100% secure with two spaces to play in. We started in the small one to see how she would react (and how her recall would be) and she took off with a ball and we had a blast! We took her into the big fenced in area — it’s huge — and it was perfect. Lots of balls and water — the barn was her first ever. Thank you, Carol, for the great space and the kind pricing. We’ll be back!
45Kind of difficult for me to find—my app took me down the wrong driveway at first. So it would be nice to have clearer access instructions. Otherwise fantastic. The land is lovely and well maintained, there’s plenty of space, and the view is gorgeous.

Description

WEATHER ALERT: If you are checking the weather online check the Ferndale (98248) weather. The Bellingham weather stops at the Smith Road. My prevailing wind is from the South BUT I do get the cold NE wind from Canada. NOTE: This is an acreage area which formerly held dog events; barn hunt, earth dog, carting, rally, obedience, tracking and nose work. The off leash area was set up for the dogs to have a place to run and play safely away from the other dogs when not working. This is all sandy loam so no standing water even when it rains. There is a water faucet down by the smaller barn (west side). You are welcome to fill your dog's bowls. Just be sure you turn the water off after. I have put some folding chairs just inside the big door of the barn. You are welcome to use them. I have also put a shovel out there so you can fill in any holes your dog digs. It is important you put balls back in the crate, they do not do well under the mower (the mower doesn't like it either. Please fill in any large holes your dog digs, so my mower doesn't bog down in one. if you want a bit more room to run your dogs, you may close the 2 big gates and let your dog run in the "parking area". It is all fully fenced. Be aware, the big gate into the back pasture does have a gap under it. THE BACK PASTURE IS OFF LIMITS THERE IS LIVESTOCK BACK THERE! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG EVEN IN THE BIG AREA. THANK YOU!!!

Retired now. Did horse stuff until I was introduced to agility. Lots of other dog activities followed. Have this beautiful acreage I am happy to share.
