Sniffspot's private dog parks are the best way to exercise your dog. We have the best variety and the best priced dog parks anywhere!
We have one full acre fully fenced with 4' high goat/sheep woven wire fencing. About 1/3 of it is open grassy field and the other 2/3 is nice shady woods. We in the process of over seeding the field to make the grass more lush this spring. We have added a few surprises down in the woods to make it more fun for our guests and their fur babies. There is an open lean-to where there are dog toys like frisbees and balls availble. There is also be a cute backdrop as a photo op for the dogs.
Our Sniffspot has been referred to as Dog Heaven. We are in a remote area in the Appalachian Foothills of SE Ohio. We have farm roads, mowed trails and open fields you and your dog can enjoy, but the favorite place for most dogs is our pond. Our pond features a dock that dogs love to jump off of. There is also a large covered pavilion with tables and chairs. A basket of water toys is next to the dock. There is an outhouse there and well, it is primitive, but clean (unless the mice make nests, but I try to keep ahead of that) In dry weather the pond is accessible by vehicle but it is also a good walk for people and dogs, about 1/2 a mile from the parking area (and mostly uphill). This pavilion also has our "Sugar Shack" attached, which is where we boil down maple sap in February and March to make syrup. The Maple Grove is up a trail above the pond. **My dogs swim in this pond most days in the spring, summer & fall. The pond has an aerator and also is treated with Pond Blue, both of which help to eliminate the possibility of dangerous algae blooms. There is also no fertilization of fields that could run off into the pond. **
Please pick up dog poop on the trails in the woods is permitted for pooping and not cleaning up. Please if you smoke throw away the buds and only smoke in the permitted area in front of the blue shipping container. Please do not litter. Please stay inside the boundaries marked for our property look for wooden stakes with orange riben. The posts with blue marked on them will guide you to some of the main trails. Do not get close to the blue house as it is occupied and surveillanced 24/7. Do not steal anything on the property or you will be prosecuted to the fullest. Please be respectful to the wild bird life around the pond NO hunting or trapping. This season 2024 no fishing until next year when the pond is stocked. Please keep dogs on leash by the blue barn as there are chickens that might get loose. If you have any medical emergencies please call 911 first. Dog water and bowl are by the large rocks close to the drive way.
If your best friend needs to run around for a bit or just enjoy some fresh air, this is the place for you! We'll be sure to make your stay as comfortable as we possibly canπ
