Shade, seating and a covered area make this spot fun for all! Long and short grass, slight hills, a sand pile and dirt to dig in too! We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc is added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. It may grow and shrink throughout the season. Dogs love it! One person may accompany a dog but please no children. Private parking for one or two vehicles available. If additional needed, please message host. Clean porta potty available for guest use. He inspired Misspits Rescue who has saved hundreds of dogs and other animals. All proceeds from this rental support Misspits and the animals in our care.
Our spot was designed and built specifically to help keep pets home. We are a search and rescue that deals with hard cases and know what its like to have dogs that can’t be around other dogs, animals or people. This spot is dedicated to those dogs in an effort to help keep them active and happy at home so their families don’t have to give them up. All proceeds from this sniffspot go directly to I Paw’d It Forward to continue serving our mission to keep families together.
NEW: Free U-Pick Blackberries! Shade Gazebo! Kiddie Pool! Working farm and private duck lake on Sauvie Island. Perfect spot for dog parties, work off leash, practice recall, minimum distractions. Sapphire Point is an unfenced, private, 10 acres with excellent mountain views, hiking trails, and seasonal creek. This location provides your pup, and you, access to uninterrupted forest land with expansive mountain views and many fun new smells. The three primary trails are marked with pink ribbons and the property perimeter is marked with white ribbons for easy navigation. Hiking the slopes can be a workout for us humans, so let yourself rest at the different benches while your pup plays. You're invited to pack a little snack and make it part of your adventure.
**ALL PROFITS ARE DONATED TO LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS (read more at the bottom)*** Dixie Mountain Delight is a unique Sniffspot! It's a 10-acre property with several trails through rustic wooded areas and a large Field of Dreams (with an overlook) to enjoy. You (human) will get a pretty decent walk in along with your dog! Disappear into the woods with your doggo pack and explore the property. The main trail through the woods is a little over a quarter mile long, and there is plenty to sniff and explore along the trail. It is a hike with some slight inclines, but nothing very strenuous. The woods are very quiet and serene, but they are also robust and eagerly await your adventures! We recommend starting on the main trail that begins behind the barn and then either exploring more trails on the way to the field, or just heading directly to the field for wide-open fun. The Field of Dreams fluctuates between being mowed and having areas of tall grass. Deer visit our field regularly, so hopefully, your pack will find some interesting things to sniff. There is a sitting area on the field for you to rest while your pack runs like the wind, explores, fetches, or simply enjoys the day. There are several other small, interesting trails to explore and reconnect with nature. Just follow the map and signs. Make sure you snap a pic by the Guard Shack and read its history. Inside the shack are some interesting feathers to smell. All trails are marked. We have several dogs that have a small fenced yard by the house, however, we keep the dogs inside when we have Sniffspot visitors. Occasionally, you might hear them bark when visiting, but generally, they are tucked away and occupied when we have Sniffspot guests. We are working on a few projects around the property, mostly on the house to include rebuilding the deck. You may occasionally see us up at the house working on one project or another, but we are respectful of your privacy. Located atop Dixie Mountain, the drive up is filled with snatches of lovely views of the surrounding mountains and Portland (weather dependent). The view is especially gorgeous if you mosey up from Highway 30. There certainly is a lot to do, see, and smell on Dixie Mountain! We hope you will come see us. ****************************************************************************************************** In August of 2023, we were in southern Alabama visiting our son who is in the US Army. He found two abandoned puppies at a deserted boat ramp and after trying to find them homes for two weeks, our only options were to turn them into a kill shelter or bring them home to Oregon. After bringing home these two abandoned puppies from Alabama, where there is a definite crisis facing abandoned animals and a shortage of space at no-kill shelters, we felt a calling to help our no-kill shelters here in Oregon. I feel strongly about supporting our local shelters and spreading the donations around. All profits from my Sniffspot are donated to local shelters, which rotate. So far we have donated to Family Dog New Life Shelter, Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter, and Oregon Dog Rescue. You are helping by visiting Dixie Mountain Delight! Thank you!
Our farm is tucked conveniently on Pleasant Hill just a few miles off of I-5. A fully fenced pasture is waiting for peaceful play.
Natural spring/pond in middle of field. Dogs are welcome to take a swim. Open field with a small patch of Alders. Farm gates.
Come relax and hang with your pup in my fully fenced back yard! Good vibes and fun for the whole family. Enjoy!
10 acres partially fenced
We have an open 7 acre property that is surrounded by trees and blackberries. This is a small working lavender farm. The entrance and one other opening to a neighboring field are the only openings to the property. We are visited by deer on occasion and have two dogs of our own that can be kept inside during your visit or allowed to play outside if you wish. We have a covered patio to get out of the sun or a large patio in the sun if you prefer. Water is provided for dogs and people. Come and relax while your dog enjoys the open range.
This 15+ acres of hay field is mostly fenced, with an opening at the top. If you choose, there is a path along the outside that leads to a creek(unfenced) to the right at the field. There are dogs at the front of the property, which are fenced in. There is possibility of hearing barking from them or neighbors. Off road parking, I will give clear directions before arrival. Come roam around a huge open space! Bring a ball or just have a sniff party! *Electric Fence surrounds the horse pasture - which you must pass to get to the sniff spot* Please keep to the designated sniff spot area, the top field and barn area is NOT open to the public. Any equipment in the area, including dog agility equipment, is NOT for public use. Please take your waste with you!
This is my pasture that my pigs, horses, and chickens access when you aren't here! But don't worry -- they'll all be safely behind a fence when you visit with your pup! The white tape fencing will be turned off while you are here so no worries about being zapped. Horse trough is available for big dogs, and a water bowl can be provided for our smaller friends. It's a nice open space to play ball or just walk laps. My dogs love playing chase out there since there aren't obstacles (unless you count the manure/compost pile). Please be aware there IS livestock on this property which means livestock poop. Animals will be behind livestock fencing so as not to interact with your dog. Surrounding fencing is all livestock fencing that small dogs cannot get through. Upon arrival: you will park in our driveway and walk behind the barn to the large farm gate. From there, your doggo is free to run! Our entire property is fenced so once you are in the gate, your dog is safely contained. In fall/summer we have apple trees you are welcome to pick!
Located on Highway 101, off street parking. Almost 2 acres previously used for horses. There is a river if your dog likes to swim...mud is stinky!
Beautiful fully fenced park-like setting. Lots of trees for shade but also open space for pups to run. Lounge chairs and picnic table. Bring a picnic 😊 Use of basketball court just bring your own ball. Please note we only accept bookings 7 days in advance and often weekend spots are not available for booking until a few days prior. Please check back or message me if you need to schedule further in advance.
Thank you for visiting our Spot! Enter via side gate: it has a Sniffspot sign on it. Feel free to use the gardening hose to top up the water dishes 🐕
A large open 4 acre meadow of doggy paradise! A festival of Fetch can surely be had here! Plenty of ground for big big zoomies and even an ex professional baseball pitcher would have trouble throwing a ball too far on this land! Partially fenced but not easy to escape as the property bottlenecks back to the entrance where you park. Feel free to stroll in the wide open field and peep the view of pond on the other side of the fence (but do not cross fence of course) . On clear days you can see Mt. St Helens, the tip of Mt. Adam’s and Mt. Hood. The field is yours to roam and run in but please keep your zooms out of the back and front yard nearest to the house if you can! It’s pretty clearly marked! Enjoy this slice of doggo heaven and zoom and sniff to your heart’s content!
This spot is in our back yard. The entire area is partially fenced with mowed lawn closer to the house and about 2 acres of mowed trails through trees a little further back. Some water runs through in the spring and the fall although right now it’s pretty much all dried up.
Close to I-5, small wooded area behind yard, trees cover provides shade. Split level semi-private yard with easy access.
We have 5 beautiful acres with a little bit of everything, grass, trees, sand, wood chips, whatever your dog fancies! We have a small creek at the back of our property. We have a trail for humans & dogs that wraps around the entire 5 acres. We have water access for dogs available. We have a downstairs bathroom inside that is available for the humans :) WiFi is available with a password, provided if asked. Plenty of parking space, even for large vehicles.
I acre fenced field. For the dogs
One securely fenced (terrier-proof) acre of pasture. Can be muddy until mid-summer. Stock tank with resident goldfish available plus hose by the barn if needed.
A quarter acre fenced backyard to play fetch in or just let the dogs sniff around! Lots of bird and bunny smells. There’s plenty of seating in the yard but let me know if you need a dry camp chair. Umbrellas and towels will be put out on the front porch on rainy days. Treat jars are hung around the yard on the fence- feel free to use some!
Peaceful riverfront getaway on fenced 2 acre property to stretch your legs in Gales Creek. Including sand arena, pasture, creek access, gravel walkways, seating & picnic areas & watering hole. Hot tub access during summer months only.
