Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. For people who don't have cats you can still book the space and visit my two friendly orange cats. The orange cats on the property are very people/kid friendly. Our SniffSpot meadow is now open, Thank you for your patience being on the waitlist. We needed to grow some tall grass in the pasture for the sheep to take a turn rotating and cut down the grass for your dogs, and they’ve now done their job and we’re all ready for you. In the calendar you will see bookings available until July 30. We will open up August bookings next week. There will be times - usually, long weekends - that the meadow is closed to dogs as we host workshops here and this meadow is used for camping. August long weekend and September long weekend, 2024 will be closed. We are so excited to welcome you here! Once you book, please tell us a little bit about your dog and their needs. We’d love to hear feedback about the meadow and anything we can do to make it a great experience for your pup and you. GETTING HERE 9420 West Saanich Rd - This is the first driveway north of Ardmore golf course on the west side of West Saanich. - Drive up the long driveway, take the sudden left turn at the farmhouse, and straight ahead another 3 metres is the SniffSpot meadow -Park there (you'll see a chalkboard sign) - The meadow is on your left AMENITIES The meadow has water from both a hose and a spigot just outside at the front, where you park. An electric outlet is stationed just under the water source for charging devices. There is a dog water bowl inside the fence and a couple larger farm dishes for small dogs who like splashing around. Garbage is in the large blue bin clearly marked at the entrance to the meadow. Put dog waste in the garbage bin, not the compost bin.

My frenchie canine bestie was named Billie so our Sniffspot is named after her. She passed away recently and our yard is missing that lovely dog energy! If you are looking for a private fenced yard for dogs on Vancouver Island, you have the perfect place! The yard is green in the spring, summer & fall. It's rainy and grey in the winter but still a charming outdoor spot for dog exercise, play and relaxation. We have a small living room for dogs to play inside if that is a preference. Of course, we will need to make arrangements for any indoor bookings as the spaces are shared between 3-4 humans who reside on the property. We look forward to hosting your K9s! Great place to walk through the trees that have all been cut up so you can see through them. Two large areas for Frisbee etc Enough shade is available so not out in direct sun if too hot, but plenty of open spaces available. Toys provided. Places to sit. Shaded areas.

You're welcome to use our basketball court while your dog enjoys their playtime (just let me know beforehand, as I can leave an inflated basketball out). I offer dog walks, small-group boarding, and pet sitting services. When I’m not boarding any pups, I’d love to open my yard and patio space for other pups to enjoy. I live in a quiet neighbourhood, however there is some construction going on in the lot behind my home! There is a large bedrock that runs along one side of the backyard, which makes for some great exploring. There is a blackberry grove next to my yard which is frequented by various wildlife, so there is always lots to smell back there. Please note there is a significant set of stairs you need to go down to reach the lawn area from the patio. The yard is surrounded by 6ft fences, and there is one section that is steep rock - this could potentially be climbed by a VERY determined pup so please keep that in mind. I’m happy to do what I can to make your time here as safe & fun as possible, so please feel free to reach out with your queries & I’ll try my best to accommodate!

There is a spot in the back for digging and a place to run in the summer. We have a hose and a sprinkler and a little patio area to sit and let your dog run around while you hang out! We have a few water bowls for your pup, and an umbrella you can put out if you want some shade! We have a covered area where you can sit in case it is raining! we have a bin of toys available just please return them before you leave!

The area available is not fenced and is 3.5 acres, situated entirely off the road. The main play space is an heirloom apple orchard with 25+ beautiful old gnarled trees in an unmowed meadow. My own reactive dog loves to spring through the tussocks and uses the trees like an obstacle course. Beyond the meadow is 3.5 acres of hawthorn scrub that’s great for dogs, but not easily human-penetrable. Perfect for letting adventurous dogs have a solo romp if they have good recall. I hope you and your pup(s) enjoy it!!
