55Our dogs had such a blast here ! Lots of trails around the property, well fenced and a lot of sweet touches by the owner (dog bags, water bowls, treats).
55This was our first time visiting and we loved it! The trails are so fun and the dogs loved exploring. Beautiful space with nice little extras, like the dog puzzle and the fairy houses. We're excited to go back again soon!
55Clear instructions and a beautiful space! we walked in loops and it was very easy to follow!
55This is my most favorite spot in the world. Clean, fenced, so many trails, so many smells, a clean porta potty, poopie bags, no dogs visible, and even better, no humans. This place is the ultimate and I can't wait to go back. Pawsome spot!

55We hadn’t been in a few weeks. Hidden new (I think lol) treasures. Constant little changes/improvements adding to the experience.
55Great patch of woods for the dogs! My pups enjoyed running around on the trails. The off-street parking, water & poop stations, porta potty, puzzles and dog treats were a great bonus! Leave it to my buffoons to find the one swamp on the property 🤦‍♀️ Great site! I hope to come back!
55This is a great place to wander with the pups with great trails and tons of shade! Love this spot!
55We loved this Sniffspot! Lots of trails to explore on this beautiful property. We loved all the break spots and water stations as well. The pups definitely got thirsty in the heat. Such a nice hidden gem, we'll definitely be back!
55Such a great spot to test your dog off leash! Very nice clean trails and I didn’t see any of the gaps in the fence.

Fencing details: Fenced with a gate at the entrance, but there are a few places where a dog could possibly stray off the property on some sides. Usually the undergrowth, combined with fencing, will be sufficient to keep dogs on the property.

Hazards

You'll be on woodland trails so there will be the normal hazards. You could step in a gopher hole, trip on a root, get scratched by blackberry vines, or step in a poodle, er puddle. ;). Very rarely, as in about once every 400 visits, you may see a coyote from a distance. We've never had a dog/coyote encounter, but if this possibility makes you uncomfortable, then this is probably not the place for you.

My dad bought this property in 1946 and I've lived next to it and walked my own dogs on it for most of my life.

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor

Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. There are two driveways onto the property. You want the north one with the sign "Ericksen." After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Please do not enter the farmhouse yard. The residents of the farmhouse are not the sniffspot hosts. For any questions, issues, or suggestions about how I can improve this spot, please drop me a message or call me, Annika, at 253-346-5863. New: accepting donations for COMPOST, like leaves, lawn clippings, pumpkins, newspaper, fruit/veg peels, coffee grounds, annual plants including tomatoes, used potting soil, tree trimmings, etc. You'll see the compost receptacle as you come up the driveway.
