55We have been to Lyndsey’s sniff spot 3x now and our dogs love it! It’s quiet and there are no dogs nearby which has helped our dogs relax and play. There are always toys and water! Thanks Lyndsey!
55Max loved sprinting around the huge yard and exploring under the deck. This was a great spot and we will be back!
55Such an enjoyable experience, a big private yard that was safe and clean for my dog to enjoy.
55So fun!! Tons of toys, fresh water, high fencing. You can hear folks/other pups in nearby yards, but no complaints here!
55Niko loved it!
55Bruce says there’s so much to smell and do in this backyard!
55It's a big yard and the pups had lots of fun. As the description notes, there is an old chicken coop and some wire fencing along the dog run that I was a little worried my pups would get caught up in, but there were no issues. If you have a dog that likes to hide under decks and not come out, be aware that the deck is open and tall enough for a dog to run under and hide. Water was left out as well as poop bags. A+
55Very secure, very few distractions. My dogs wouldn’t stop running around, so I can tell they liked it!
45Pros - was able to book very last minute (within 30 minutes of start time), decent sized space for some midday play time and close by. Cons - there are a lot of things for the pups to get into - old chicken coop, space under the deck, wood pile, random yard/house things, etc, and there isn't any water (luckily we had our own!), the gate doesn't close all the way and there are several spots in the fence where a curious pup could escape (my dogs are larger so it wasn't an issue but would be for small dogs). Definitely appreciated the last minute availability but the things to get into made me nervous.
55Great first time Sniffspot experience! Secure, good size, clean yard for my Cane Corso communicative home owner. We will visit again for sure!

Description

We have a big backyard, completely fenced in and it's a dog paradise. We have a deck for humans to sit on and hang while the pups play. Right now we have 2 large camp chairs set up but should be getting patio furniture at some point so it will be a little more comfortable. I have a Chuck-it and some other toys that you are welcome to play with and use. There is a water bowl out back and if it is empty or the dogs drink it all up, then there is a hose you can use to fill it up. The side door, where you enter through the carport can be a bit finicky so if the door is giving you issues, there is a rope that can be helpful to you to keep the door shut.

Cleanliness

96% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There is a small gap in the wiring in the far southwest side of the yard. It is covered with rocks but if you have a very small dog who is an escape artist, then your pup might be able to get through. The only way to access it is through the dog run so if you are concerned about that, keep the door to the dog run shut.

Host replied: Hey Samantha, Sorry I was out and of service when you booked so I wasn’t able to send you the info for our house. Everything that you mentioned the pups could get into are totally fine for them to get into if you are ok with it. Everything has been cleaned and is safe for pups. When it’s cold, the handle to the gate swells so you have to really slam it shut. It feels like you might break it but you won’t and if you don’t feel comfortable slamming it shut, there is an empty rain barrel that you can put in front of the gate door that will block any pups from getting out of the yard. In regards to the spots where curious pups could get out, unless you have a little little pup (5lbs) there is no way any pups could escape unless they dug a whole in the yard. We are pretty secure. And the water, sorry about that! I normally put out a fresh bowl of water for each guest but we did turn off the outdoor water hose before we left town as we were worried about a freeze. Again, that’s something that I would have messaged you about had I been in service. Thank you, again, for checking out our spot and hopefully you will give us another chance.
