Hello! My name is Katie and we are so excited to offer our yard space to your furry best friend. My family has lived in an apartment the last two years while house hunting in Crozet, and we have learned how difficult it is to have dogs without access to a yard. Now that we are settling into our new home, we are excited to offer our space for afternoon fetch, morning zoomies, and just lounging in the sunshine. Animals just make the world a better place. You will always have complimentary access to our hammock and swing gazebo. Please refrain from using the kids play equipment! Come enjoy some nature time in our yard in Crozet. :) Arrival Notes: When you arrive you can park anywhere on our gravel driveway. The gate to the right of the house that goes into our garden is where you will enter. This “holding” area in the garden gives you a chance to triple check there are no lingering guests or animals in the yard. Once you are in our backyard please shut the gate behind you. Most guests enjoy hanging out in the firepit area where there are hammock swings and seating. Along the fence, you will see a spot for water, toys, and other things I thought you may need. We ask that guests not utilize our small deck near the house, so that our dogs don’t bark and disturb their stay! So far all of our guests have come a second time, so if you end up booking again, I’d love any feedback on how to make your visit extra special. Anyway, that is all for now, thanks again and enjoy the sunshine!! ~Katie
Roughly 7 acres of open field with great views for your dogs to roam and play. The outskirts of the field are marked with livestock fence and flags to better see the boundaries. Fresh Water for your dogs is also provided along with toys for them to enjoy and a sitting area for the owners to relax and enjoy the views and watch their pups play.
A 26 acre forest oasis with a stream sometimes flowing through the center. Over a mile of flagged, cleared trails for you and your pooch to get some exercise and lots of interesting sniffs! Stoney Run, a small stream, traverses the property, and is accessible from several trail locations. As a circuit you will walk over a couple of miles just on the trail. The rest of the 26 acres is also free to roam, but typically tree covered. The farm animals are fenced in an acre area. Our dogs can easily be put inside and our Pyrenees detained, if your pooch isn’t interested or ready for that sort of interaction. Typically our big guy, Titan, is a wonderful part of our visiting dog’s experience. But that will be left entirely up to you. You can hit the trails and chase some squirrels. Our beautiful, forested Shenandoah Valley parcel will be yours to sniff about freely.
Your dog will have so much fun running around this gorgeous place! Ask me about Ecollar training! Get confidence knowing your furry friend will stay as close as you want!
Don’t forget to add the extra for access to the pool.
A simple but beautiful space to let your dogs run around! The perfect area for training, fetch, and just letting them get their energy out. Just park on the street, walk on the left side of the house, and let yourself into the yard!

Our property is 25 acres of country beneath Tinker Cliffs. The roadside is approximately 5 acres and is the home place and 20 acres is wooded trails and a Little Catawba Creek. There is a beach area with a swimming hole for dogs and shallower rock ripple areas for romping around. The area does have wild animals but that is to be expected. Please be considerate of property lines and keep dogs on leash if they are not trained to stay near. Dogs that will stay near can be off leash and have freedom to run but please know that your dog will see wild animals such as deer that may entice them to chase. There is easy parking located at a safe distance from the road (approximately 130 yards). Please call ahead for initial tour of trails. Close toe shoes with tread are recommended. Trails can be slippery in a few spots near the natural spring. Trails are mowed and mostly shaded. Hats are also recommended although ticks are not bad. Access will be restricted during hunting season.
We are located on 10 wooded acres surrounded by adjacent forest. We have a small farm pond area with a picnic shelter. There are lots of woods, a creek and lots of grassy area to run around in. We also have a fenced garden, a fenced chicken run and a fenced yard for our dog that we ask Sniffspotters to stay out of the fenced areas. Additionally, we do have campsites, a treehouse and a bus that has been retrofitted as a camper. We will only accept reservations. When we have campers here, Sniffspotters will be required to stay at the creek or near the pond. There is plenty of room for roaming but owners need to be vigilantly attentive to their dogs. When we do not have campers, Sniffspotters will be free to roam anywhere on the property.
Good sized field. It is what it is.
