The space offers a combination of grassy fields, small wooded area, and a small pond for dogs to run and explore. There is a seating area and garbage bin for owners to use. When you book a visit you will be the only person on the property, so there is no risk of distractions caused by other people or animals. Please park in front of the big gates and enter the park through the green gate to the left. If you have a new pup that is having recall problems, or you have a reactive dog, this is a perfect stress-free environment for them to enjoy. They will be able to run and play without risk of getting too far, or seeing another dog. We also offer an assortment of agility equipment. We are conveniently located just a short drive south of the city, our park provides ample space for your pup to run, play, and explore. This space includes open fields, trails, forests, and even a pond. During your visit, you might even catch a glimpse of some deer or wild turkeys! We welcome all dogs, regardless of breed or size. We consider safety a top priority, so if you are hesitant about letting your dog off-leash, We offer a 15-foot lead that you can use.

Please message me if this is a problem and I can help find a time that trains do not Typically pass by, they are late and I can only predict via (fast trains) and not CN frieght(slow trains) My dog does not react to the trains . Sometimes service vehicles pass by on railway, I have no idea when this may happen. Generally the railway is dormant. But for a severe reactive dog I can see this could be an issue. Please report any holes or digs under fences. Please indicate If you prefer long or short grass. Lawn is sprayed periodically with garlic to reduce mosquitos ticks, from my research this is non toxic and has not given my dog any issues, as the garlic spray is missing the ingredient that causes problems for dogs. Pool, mister is available. Water is city water, softened. Bring your own toys, and tennis ball for the nerf launcher. My kids also use this lawn so please pick up all dropping or barf. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Great spot to let the dogs run and play without worry. A lot of people had comments about the style of fence and that it was broken. We had no issues with any of the fence being broken but it is a farm style wire fence (pictures can be seen if you click through the images on the site) so if you're not comfortable with that type of fence I would check out the pictures before booking. The only thing that would be great is if there was a parking lot as right now you have to park along the road but we already knew that before booking so it was fine. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely book again. Shouldn't have to state the obvious but we booked in April. There are puddles. There is mud. IT IS SPRING. So if you go in the spring be prepared for a dirty happy dog after your visit.

Southridge Dog Spot hosted by Clayton M. was fantastic! We were first-timers, so had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Spot was easy to locate and seems to be managed really well. The area was big enough to allow the pups to run around but not big enough that I couldn't keep my eye on them. I was also re-assured that the fence was, indeed, secure. We had a great time at this Sniffspot. It was the first time in a long time that my dog reactive dogs have been able to be off leash. They looked SO happy to be running through the field and cooling off in the muddy “pond” (more like a big puddle). Will definitely be coming back. But to anyone going - bring towels if your dog likes water because we went during a DRY spell and there was still a decent amount of water there.

This spot is lots of fun! Really wide open space in the back part, beautiful country scenery. Pretty easy to find, just had to park on the road which can be a little busy, but there’s a big sign to indicate the entrance. No disruptions throughout the visit.

This place is a life saver for me and my 1 year old reactive shepherd. We can’t go to public places so this is the perfect solution. It’s very well kept, the fence is high and secure in all areas (fence is a wire mesh and the holes are relatively large so I wouldn’t bring any small size dogs since I think they could fit through). It has a small marsh on it and a big hill and a small sitting area in the shade.
