There are seasonal streams and ponds in the woods (until summer) with foot bridges and woodchips on many of the trails. Plenty of high/dry areas but also low spots - expect puddles, mud holes, areas of standing water (and a wet/dirty dog), especially during/after rain. Appropriate outerwear, traction footwear (hiking/muck boots etc), towels recommended. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. We are located in the Roosevelt neighborhood of Bellingham. Our "back 40" is a mostly maintained lawn with several trees for shade and a covered back porch for resting. Two sides of the "back forty" are bordered with a 6 foot cedar privacy fence. The far back of the yard borders a city watershed with a 6 foot chain link fence. Deer can often be spotted on the watershed but will leave the area once you and your fur baby arrive. Please consider posting a picture of you and your dog playing on our back forty. :)
Our property is shy of 12 acres, 9+ acres of which we're sharing as a private off leash dog space or Sniffspot. The entrance is over the bridge where the creek is and 'From Creek to Back of Property' is all yours to explore. You may unleash your doggies right after the bridge and chain the gate if you want. Dogs might run down the creek for a splash or drink. Continue on to our family campground, there are picnic tables you could use. Then, up the hill you go to 'hike up the mini forest', free to roam around, listen to the birds, squirrels and other critters and sounds that nature brings you. You'll find seating areas while your dogs are at play, feel free to use them. Enjoy a picnic with your loved ones if you're up for it on one of the cabin porches or covered / uncovered picnic tables. The back of property behind fence is DNR land, so rest assured you’re on your own private little world with your furry buddies. The mini forest has some large walking paths and smaller trails scattered about, also some open meadows and is at a peaceful wooded setting. This is where I go to unwind and relieve my head of stress and worries. It’s my place of meditation, while my dogs sniff and romp around like crazy, do their zoomies and play hide n seek! *If you want to save a little bit of moolah, I offer membership. Forget about the gym, you'll get your exercise here with your dogs. If you are a member of my sniffspot, or have older dog/s and would like to drive below or up the hill to park so the fur buddy don't get exhausted, message me.* Some of you have asked about the cabins. Sniffspot is unavailable if Cabins are booked or vice versa. Booking is through Hipcamp (www.hipcamp.com). Name of listing: 'Grace E.'s Mini Forest Cabins'. Check it out by copying and pasting link below to browser or search listing through the hipcamp site. https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/washington-grace-e-s-mini-forest-ex9hrrp8?shareid=1ddvuyvr3yh Saturdays are usually blocked if there's Hipcamp bookings. But I would unblock the hours for Sniffspot use if that day isn't booked for Hipcamp, so please try to check back, who knows that day might be available! Anyway, hope you too will enjoy your little 'hike up the mini forest..'
WEATHER ALERT: If you are checking the weather online check the Ferndale (98248) weather. The Bellingham weather stops at the Smith Road. My prevailing wind is from the South BUT I do get the cold NE wind from Canada. NOTE: This is an acreage area which formerly held dog events; barn hunt, earth dog, carting, rally, obedience, tracking and nose work. The off leash area was set up for the dogs to have a place to run and play safely away from the other dogs when not working. This is all sandy loam so no standing water even when it rains. There is a water faucet down by the smaller barn (west side). You are welcome to fill your dog's bowls. Just be sure you turn the water off after. I have put some folding chairs just inside the big door of the barn. You are welcome to use them. I have also put a shovel out there so you can fill in any holes your dog digs. It is important you put balls back in the crate, they do not do well under the mower (the mower doesn't like it either. Please fill in any large holes your dog digs, so my mower doesn't bog down in one. if you want a bit more room to run your dogs, you may close the 2 big gates and let your dog run in the "parking area". It is all fully fenced. Be aware, the big gate into the back pasture does have a gap under it. THE BACK PASTURE IS OFF LIMITS THERE IS LIVESTOCK BACK THERE! PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG EVEN IN THE BIG AREA. THANK YOU!!!

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** There is off street parking and a very large fenced backyard there's a reasonably sized treed area with bark mulch and a large grassed area with a hill to run around. There's also a very large deck area around the pool. The pool is not for dogs unfortunately as it's a vinyl liner and dogs can easily rip it with their nails. (We'll see what happens in the summer whether we choose to let humans use it or not) there are deck chairs scattered around and you have access to a cold water hose and a wash sink with hot & cold water for dogs feet etc. There is also an indoor human bathroom accessible.
Timber Paws is a dog day camp service operating in and around the Bellingham, WA area. During non-operating hours our private and fully fenced-in dog park area is available for rent via Sniffspot. Take advantage of nearly 2 acres of natural, wooded terrain with plenty of space to run, chase, and fetch. The Pacific Northwest Trail, a through-hike trail hundreds of miles long, runs directly through our property via the gravel road and allows you to go on hikes of virtually unlimited duration. Please note that the standing propane heater is NOT for Sniffspot users. Please also keep out of the tiny house - guests are NOT permitted to enter. Any usage or tampering with the heater or tiny house will result in a loss of future booking privileges. PLEASE do not allow your dog to play with the toys and tennis balls if they are known to destroy them. These are intended for the day camp dogs and I can't keep constantly replacing them out of pocket. The garbage can is to throw away poop only. Please also bring your own water. Please replace any toys that are destroyed by your dog.
****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD so it is around 15 canadian*** This is a mostly open area farm field. Space includes a small wooded area within the fenced area. Bathroom available on site in the smaller barn. SMOKE FREE ZONE. Pick up after dogs, garbage bin provided. There are a few seniors visiting with mobility issues which is taken into consideration when there is poop left behind. You can always message me and let me know a general area and I can try to run out and pick it up between the next visit. There are some small gaps in the fence, so this is a great spot for large and medium sized dogs. Not a spot recommended for small dogs or severely reactive. Please keep dogs leashed until it is your time slot and are in the designated area and keep in mind you may pass another dog owner with their dog on a leash leaving or entering the spot. IF YOU CAN NOT CONTROL YOUR DOG ON A LEASH WHEN PASSING ANOTHER DOG PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS SPOT. Lots of seniors visit this spot and they may need some extra time to walk to their cars. For the most part spacing between guests has been good. Please read the essential rules the website has suggested in order to keep this a fun and safe place for dogs. Guests can be blocked from booking again if they do not respect the space or who are rude to me. Please check the spot descriptions for all details regarding animals on the property. Do not book after you read the description if you think it is not a proper fit for your dog. My phone number is 2509208914 and my dad's is 2508962860. Text or call if at anytime you need anything. This number is repeated in multiple places, including the welcome message. SPRING AND SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS *We will be adding a doggy splash pad and a kiddie pool with fresh water as an add on option. *shade umbrellas are out of storage and I just have to wash them... so they are coming very soon. *I am in the works of creating a full enclosed cat park. So if you are also a cat person or know a cat person please share my other link to book through the Swimply App. Similar to sniff spot but the insurance coverage is slightly different for cats ahah. "Scratch's Spot - Cat Nature Spot" https://swimply.com/pooldetails/70437?utm_source=pdp_share_button&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=70437. You can also book that spot for puppy training, as it will be a more controlled smaller space 18 ft long. This will have a little drawing table/play kitchen/play house for kids set up in the corner, and chairs. For people who don't have cats you can still book the space and visit my two friendly orange cats. The orange cats on the property are very people/kid friendly. The black/white cats are loving only to immediate family members. Thank you to all our visitors. It's been wonderful seeing so many happy dogs.
Our spot is located in the Roosevelt neighborhood. Our property is a tad over a 3rd of an acre. We offer a discounted rate to folks who sign up for our membership because there are less fees. Parking is located directly in front of our sea foam green (lol!) house in the grass. Please don’t park in front of our neighbors grey house. Back yard space has a concrete patio with chairs, fir trees for shade. Yard is fully fenced, a very small dog could possibly squeeze through at a couple spots by the gates, so check the properties perimeter. Garden is fenced off to keep pups from harvesting our veggies early. Please don’t use the trampoline or enter the garden. Deer can be seen in the retention pond beyond the fence occasionally. Fence is between 5ft and 6ft tall. Deer don’t like our backyard due to our own pups so they aren’t a concern. Our yard is 420 friendly and brews are ok too! There is a recycling container on your way out the gate for cans or bottles. Garbage for poop is right next to the entrance gate. Relax after a long day in our backyard with your doggo, just like you would in your own! We just ask that you are respectful and clean up after yourself.
A 4 acre fenced in meadow that is used for alpacas to graze, is also used for an off-leash dog play area. Parking at Meadow entry gates. Dog owners must check in at the reception desk in the main lodge and sign a liability waiver for first visit.
Farm owned by host. Wide open space to run and have fun. Two wading pools and a sprinkler. Farms animals in another area of the property. Quiet, seating available.

Our SniffSpot meadow is now open, Thank you for your patience being on the waitlist. We needed to grow some tall grass in the pasture for the sheep to take a turn rotating and cut down the grass for your dogs, and they’ve now done their job and we’re all ready for you. In the calendar you will see bookings available until July 30. We will open up August bookings next week. There will be times - usually, long weekends - that the meadow is closed to dogs as we host workshops here and this meadow is used for camping. August long weekend and September long weekend, 2024 will be closed. We are so excited to welcome you here! Once you book, please tell us a little bit about your dog and their needs. We’d love to hear feedback about the meadow and anything we can do to make it a great experience for your pup and you. GETTING HERE 9420 West Saanich Rd - This is the first driveway north of Ardmore golf course on the west side of West Saanich. - Drive up the long driveway, take the sudden left turn at the farmhouse, and straight ahead another 3 metres is the SniffSpot meadow -Park there (you'll see a chalkboard sign) - The meadow is on your left AMENITIES The meadow has water from both a hose and a spigot just outside at the front, where you park. An electric outlet is stationed just under the water source for charging devices. There is a dog water bowl inside the fence and a couple larger farm dishes for small dogs who like splashing around. Garbage is in the large blue bin clearly marked at the entrance to the meadow. Put dog waste in the garbage bin, not the compost bin.
****IMPORTANT : all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** Please park on the street, driveway is reserved for tenants. Go through the fence to the left of the house. If you have used doggy bags, throw them in the trash on your way out please. :)
***Charges are in USD*** The fenced area contains our home. We do not enter the spot during visits. We are excited to supply a safe space to exercise and train your dogs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have! We have a small white bench in the yard, but please let me know if additional seating is needed. 🌲🌳🐕 We also have unfenced areas that are included in the booking. They feel quite secure as they are surrounded by bush which acts as a bit of a natural fence (less so now that it is fall). I do encourage all guests to explore the unfenced areas as well as they add so much more space and variety, even if it is just once and on a leash/long line. Our facility has a fenced off-leash Dog Park with Agility Equipment with unfenced on-leash grassy potty area just outside. Our agility course is complete with multiple single jumps, A-frame, dog walk, tunnel, teeter and weave poles. On-leash trail walk through our wooded trails behind the dog park for a small additional fee. Cedarbrook Farms is a 60 acre farm with about half of this acreage as wooded trails behind the dog agility park. The main trail loop is to the right and is maintained (however there are two wet spots, we recommend you wear boots in the rainy season), the loop to the left may or may not be maintained. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options. There are single track cross through trails through the center of the main loop that you can explore at your leisure as well. The main loop is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace. Dogs must remain on leash at all times in the unfenced areas, horses/dogs share use of these trails. There is a portapotty available on site at the main arena barn, please have your dog in the car prior to approaching the arena barn area. We also have Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, veterinarian Dr. Hannah Mueller, on site and offer canine acupuncture, chiropractic, SCENAR and Theraplate. These things can be scheduled through our website at: www.cedarbrookvet.com, or call or text us at 360-794-9255.
****IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD* Our yard is completely enclosed and usually pretty quiet. You're welcome to use our basketball court while your dog enjoys their playtime (just let me know beforehand, as I can leave an inflated basketball out). We also have a tether tug, offering your dog endless tug-of-war! We've also stocked various toys for your pup, including frisbees, Nerf guns, tennis balls, and more. Please let me know if you have any questions! When you place a booking, you will receive the yard's location and instructions on how to enter it.

This is a beautiful park with room to throw the ball and a loop trail to race around.
Spot that receives ample sun, it is also good for reactive dogs as you can’t see any other dog from the spot The fence is all wood, the shortest area near my backyard entry is around 4.5 feet (just the entry gate which is around 4 feet wide and is blocked by a vehicle) rest all is around 6 feet. I have a husky (an escape artist) he always tries to escape either by climbing or digging he always fails though since the fence is too tall for him Take 50% discount for the first booking of the spot using the code “RiverFirst”
I have a fully-fenced third of an acre backyard with a variety of grass, dirt, and weeds hanging out, at the moment. Lots of room for your pups to run, play fetch and roll around. There’s a spigot and a dog bowl for your pups to use as needed, and poop bags and a trash bin for your convenience. Please pick up poop before you head home for the day. ❤️ Please park on the grassy corner off of 126th and walk your pups east on 126th to the chain link fence gate by the big cedar tree! That’s the easiest entry point. 👍 🚌 School is back in session, and there’s a school bus stop on the other side of my fence. If your pup is people reactive, avoid the 7-8:30am and 2-4pm hours on weekdays! 🚌 Tag us in your photos if you post them to Instagram: @dougsdogpark
