55This was such a gorgeous spot! Tons of trails and areas to explore. If your dog is sensitive to the sound of gunshots it may not be the best spot for you. They were going off pretty much constantly and our dog was too spooked to enjoy himself. But we’re definitely going to try this spot again because it’s very special.Liz H.

55Our first time using a Sniffspot so a little unsure what to expect but we were very happy with the experience. Received an email from the hosts that morning giving us a heads up on weather and letting us know that while they respected our time with our pup they were available if needed. This was much appreciated as our pup is reactive to strangers and this way we didn't need to worry that he would be triggered by seeing someone. The location was easy to find with signs posted when we arrived letting us know we were in the right spot and where to park. Poop bags were available and a garbage pail for disposal which was also appreciated. The property was very nice and a map was available in the parking area that clearly showed the areas open to explore. Trails throughout the property were also well marked. I had read about noise from people shooting close by in the national forest but it was far enough away that our pup who is usually scared by loud noise didn't even notice. On one trail you are close to the bordering forest service road with cars going by but our pup who is normally very reactive to cars was to busy smelling all the new smells to even notice. The hosts had also left out treats and fresh water for our pup which was very considerate. We booked for 1.5 hours and spent the entire time walking the trails, our pup loved every minute. Will definitely be using this spot again. Thank you Gayle and Jack for sharing your wonderful piece of property with us.Teresa W.

55This was a great place for Abi to get out and sniff and run without really worrying about distractions or triggers. The spot is remote, but well marked and easy to find, and at the entrance were treats and water bowls. I didn't see the hosts, so they seem pretty serious when they said they'd give you privacy. Thumbs up.Zachariah B.

55This a really pretty Sniffspot with very welcoming hosts. As other reviews have indicated dog cookies, waste bags, and a map of the property are provided. The map was especially helpful as it described the property well and it was evident what was in and out of “bounds”. In addition, the hosts provide a weather report on the morning of your visit. This was really helpful, especially since the property is close to the mountains and can have very different weather than in the overall Seattle area. The morning we left home in Federal Way it was a sunny spring morning. However, the hosts had informed me it had snowed at their place and to dress appropriately, so I did indeed dress differently than I was expecting. The trails through the woods are wide and easily traversed. One trail does get close to a nearby road but it is a country road with very little traffic so I wasn’t worried. Overall, it is a nice private property and my reactive doggo had a great time. Bonnie B.

55A great place for my pup to run! We loved it- although the target practice was annoying to hear in such a beautiful place. My dog is pretty good about recall but there were a few spots where I got nervous about him running. Since this is an unfenced place, I put him on the leash when we entered the property until I felt safe to let him off. (Only few yards) One of the trails is closer to a road so we just avoided that one.
We will be back! Thanks for a lovely morning!Ann C.

55We had a lovely walk here! I'm not sure if it was he recent warm weather and return of the rains but it smelled wonderful. The air was so sweet and clean and we wandered the trails for awhile in solitude just breathing deep. Pepper enjoyed exploring and chasing the robins in the big meadow, she loved the provided snacks as well! We didn't see anyone during our visit but we did hear distant gunfire. It didn't seem to alarm Pepper and it wasn't close enough to detract from our walk that much but something to be aware of during your visit. We hope to come back with a picnic this summer!Sara B.

Everything is stocked, homemade dog treats, water, bags, toys and signage for all of the paths. This has become our favorite Sniffspot and we look forward to visiting again very soon. 55This Sniffspot is wonderful, with a nice set of trails, pretty meadows, and views of the mountains. The site is clean, organized, and well maintained, and the hosts have added all kinds of thoughtful touches. There are water and treats (and poop bags) for your dog, and benches and chairs for you to rest on. We were concerned about the trail that runs along the road, because our dog is a car chaser, but there were enough bushes and other obstacles to keep him away from the road--perhaps a more persistent dog could have found a way through, though. There did seem to be a fair amount of action at the gun range (on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend), so if shooting is a trigger for your dog, then perhaps a weekday would be better for you. At any rate, we thought Jack and Gayle's place was fantastic--couldn't recommend it more!Sara E.

55Always such a wonderful visit at this property. The hosts, Gayle & Jack, have created something really special here and always go above and beyond with all of the details. From a beautifully maintained property to the custom signage throughout, a welcome station as you enter with healthy dog treats, water, toys, bags, trash container, a map of the property, and more. They have recently placed more benches throughout the property too. I really do love this place and the dogs could not be happier.
Thank you Gayle & Jack!

55This is such a lovely spot! The hosts leave amenities such as waste bags, water and dog cookies. The trails are clearly marked and there's even a map! We were able to make multiple passes over the trails during our hour there. The owners clearly take pride in their land and even the trees were identified with sinage which was a nice touch! We did hear gunshot nearby but it didn't last long. We will definitely be back.Karli L.

The property is immaculately kept, thoughtful attention paid to lay of the land with the trails beautifully sculpted throughout the property. The mountains are in the background with wildflowers and berries dotting the meadows, truly a sacred space. FAQ about our Granite Falls dog fields
Are dog fields safe?
If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. All payment is done securely online by credit card in a few simple clicks.
All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?
We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?
No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
