Backyard Bark Park

2 acre pond for dogs to train and swim. Partially fenced , but off a main road. Total of 3 acres. Leashes not required but to do so is at your own risk. Bring your own chairs, water etc. please remove all trash you may have as no trash cans are available. You may park past the pond on the grass to your left by the big trees too if you like since it’s so hot. just allow for access for delivery’s etc. We are open for outside events for any rescue group that needs a venue as well. Just message me here for information. Due to the severe heat/dryness, the pond is currently low. Swimming for dogs is at owner’s discretion, I will update here as weather changes. Poochie Garden is a sensory experience with plenty of shade and room to zoom! Warm weather features a small pup pool for wading and splashing and our Garden Splash Pad is **included** with all reservations. Turf includes bare dirt, cypress and cedar mulch, short grass, and large beds of tall ornamental grass as natural snuffle spots, plus a sand digging garden along with varied natural rock, cobblestone, and wooden deck walking surfaces - all securely contained within a 6-foot wooden privacy fence. Treat-tipping bottles, a rocker balance board, agility weaving-pole and jump-hurdle practice walk (for an intro, not for speed), a stump walk, a curated selection of toys, and plenty of other sensory experiences add to your pup's best day. Bring kibble or treats to challenge your hound to the mental stimulation of a puzzle or two. Pup-safe plantings of marigolds, spearmint, strawberry, catnip, wheat grass, lavender, thyme, oregano, phlox, and more offer your pooch plenty to explore, sniff, and nibble. Humans can rest in the chairs on the deck or in the garden and enjoy the sounds of water, chimes, and birds while your pooch plays. Seasonal and static picturesque photo ops are plentiful! Include a human friend or two and their dogs in your reservation if you'd like to share the garden experience! Note that there are a few steps and slopes into and around the yard that may impact access for those with mobility challenges and limitations. Poochie Garden is a certified Wildlife Habitat, so you may encounter birds, rabbits, toads, butterflies, spiders, bees, and other friends while you visit. Please enjoy their presence and do no harm. We accept bookings up to 1 week in advance. Members may book 2 weeks in advance. Message if you have a special date to reserve with more notice, and we will try to accommodate. Come bring your fur babies to swim with you in our private backyard swimming pool. Pool is 9 ft at the deepest point. If yours is like mine he loves to float on rafts with me that are provided in our backyard oasis.

We may not have clover 100% of the year but we are turning our yard into a local plant and wildlife sanctuary and cutting back on just grass. We currently still have a large grassy area in both shade and sun but plan to have more and more diverse plants as time goes on. As extras we have a hose with a sprinkler attachment, a dog sized pool and homemade dog treats. For everyone we have sticks and balls for you to use or bring your own. We have a large double lot on the side of the house for your dog to have plenty of space to run and play. Our cancellation policy: if you get here and the weather is not perfect but it’s what was forecast, we do not refund your money. If there is a sudden storm or unpredicted downpour please cancel if you can before arriving. if it should start while you are here and you have to leave we will give you a refund if you did not get the major part of your visit. 

Lovely, large fenced area that is partially shaded with big trees. Very small pond on the property. Please make sure to bring everything you’ll need to make this a fun and safe time for you and your dog. Bags are provided for picking up after your dog.
