Lucy had an absolute blast! Heather and Michael's yard is exactly as pictured/described. A helpful parking sign let me know I was in the right place. They had thoughtfully left water out in a bowl and had lots of toys to play with and even a basket of goodies! Sunscreen, bug spray, and dog treats were such a nice bonus. My dog Lucy is very reactive and she did get to barking a few times (sorry!!). Lucy could sense the dog two yards away and made her voice heard (neighbors yard is fully fenced and we couldn't see the dog). She also barked when a car parked in the alley- so if your dog is reactive they may react to these things too. These were minor and I was able to redirect Lucy and get her quiet very quickly. The yard is huge and decorated very nicely- twinkle lights and lounge chairs just make for a nice vibe. Lucy had plenty of room to run zoomies and we got a nice game of fetch in. Thanks so much for having us! We will definitely return :)

This is such a lovely space in DC! The yard is really spacious with different areas to sniff, and the hosts were very sweet to leave treats, water, and even sunscreen & sniff spot stickers for humans.

We had such a great time romping around in this yard!! Plenty of space for running, and lots of spots for sniffing. The hosts also had a sweet welcome basket waiting for us with treats, poop bags, sun screen, etc. Thanks for offering up your space :) We will definitely be back.

Yard was good size host we’re very responsive to all my questions and left out water and treats for me and the pup! Only concern I had was there is a spot under the fence where I thought my dog could squeeze under especially when she saw a neighbors dog and ran over to try and greet him. she’s medium size so I blocked it off with my bag. Just be aware if dog is escape artist!

Beautiful yard! Easy to find, easy entry, clean, and so nice to have a hose and water dish on a warm day. The side yard was perfect for a game of fetch, and the back was great to play soccer with my herding pup. So happy to have a nice spot in the city to let my dogs get the zoomies out and get some fresh air off leash! Hosts were accommodating and responsive. Thank you!

Melissa's spot was so great -- we took our newly adopted dog here and let her run around for an hour and had so much fun. Tons of room to roam, no safety hazards -- this was our first Sniffspot experience, and it was exactly what we hoped for! Melissa was also out on the porch when we arrived and was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
