Description

We may not have clover 100% of the year but we are turning our yard into a local plant and wildlife sanctuary and cutting back on just grass. We currently still have a large grassy area in both shade and sun but plan to have more and more diverse plants as time goes on. we have a hose with a sprinkler attachment, a dog sized pool, sticks and balls for you to use, and a large double lot on the side of the house for your dog to have plenty of space to run and play. Our cancellation policy: if you get here and the weather is not perfect but it’s what was forecast, we do not refund your money. If there is a sudden storm or unpredicted downpour please cancel if you can before arriving. if it should start while you are here and you have to leave we will give you a refund if you did not get the major part of your visit.

    We enjoyed our visit!

Host replied: You always look like you are having a good time here. Soon it will be staying light longer and we can enjoy this beautiful weather later. But you made great use of it even after dark.

My dog enjoyed the space and free treats!

Peaceful yard with a nice sized doggie pool. My pup immediately jumped in and I knew it would be a good hour from there. Loved the banana treats and the shaded patio table. Plenty of tennis balls and sticks!!! I forgot his favorite toy, so we will be back to enjoy again.

Host replied: So glad you both had fun! Those banana peanut butter treats are hard not to eat myself!

This is a great spot for dogs! It's conveniently located downtown and is completely fenced in. I appreciated that there's a water hose, a wading pool and doggie treats are available. My dog doesn't always play well with others, so I love having a place where she can run, play and sniff around and not be concerned about other dogs. I will definitely take her again in the future!

Host replied: I am glad Rainy now has a place you and she can play without you having to worry about other dogs being there. She is a sweetie!

Location was easy to find. Lucy met us and was super friendly, had treats which dogs loved. Lots of room for dogs to chase each other and to fetch the ball. They loved sniffing around the big yard. Chairs available so I could relax in the shade. There was a nice breeze. Dogs were intrigued by the pool but didn’t get in. Will definitely be back!

Host replied: We enjoyed having you. Don’t you wish you had that much energy? I know I do.

My dog Rowdy enjoyed his first visit to The Clover Patch. The first thing he did was jump in the pool, and then he sniffed out every inch of the yard while I mostly sat in the shade. He apparently did not want to leave because he resisted getting in the car.

Host replied: I’m so glad Rowdy enjoyed his first visit. I hope everything goes well with his surgery next week. Thanks for pointing out the gap under the fence where a smaller dog might be able to get through. I fixed that this afternoon.

Meet your host

My first dog was a boxer named Phuzzy. I love watching dogs play and think they really need more space to enjoy a variety of play areas outside. That’s what inspired me to open a Sniff Spot in my yard. It’s the perfect space for a dog to enjoy without the interference of other dogs unless you bring one with you.
