Why rent a private dog park in Los Angeles, California?
55Beautiful spot, completely fenced in. There was a dog in the yard next door but had no effect on us, the multiple levels are great and it’s perfect for dogs who love to explore— they can do it safely here! Picturesque. Luzien & Sam A.

55The backyard was definitely a good vibe for the dogs! They enjoyed sniffing and exploring the 3 levels. It really brought out their adventurous sides. Ann had plenty of treats, cleaning supplies and bug repellent that came in handy when I ran out of treats. The dogs really enjoyed themselves and so did I. Thanks AnnAaliyah M.

55This place is great! We brought our two small dogs, and they enjoyed it. It’s a fun, safe environment. There are a couple of areas for owners to lounge, and a green grass area (surrounded by beautiful trees and a garden) for the dogs to play. No problems with access. Stairs lead to an entry gate. We would certainly return. As an added touch, the home owner provides treats, wipes, dog bags and bug spray for the dogs. So cute!Joy T.

55So much room to explore. There was shade, treats, hand sanitizer, water, poop bags, bug spray and a water hose. We did find some poop but it wasn’t a big deal to me or my pup. If your dog is reactive, there are dogs on the top unit by the grass area of the yard, they bark and can be distracting. My puppy has recently discovered that he can bark at noises and shadows lol so he did bark a few times over noises in the street and kept looking for the other dogs. But that was not an issue for me personally. I am working with my dog to build his confidence so this gives me room to teach and learn. We had a lovely time, thank you!! Karla C.

55Great spot! Host was communicative and the property was excellent. My Chihuahuas had a great time. My smallest is under 4 pounds so the fencing worked for him as well as a very small dog with the addition of the gate over the front door entrance, which is provided. there’s filtered water for the dogs, poop bags, hand sanitizer and a really great terrace and table for you to sit at while the pups play. We’ll be back soon thanks so much! : )Val L.

55The location was easy to find and the host gave clear directions. My 2 dogs had too much fun. This was our first Sniffspot experience! Like the listing mentions, there’s different levels and if you have bad boiis like me who unexpectedly all of sudden do parkour, keep an eye on them! My 10 lb dog shocked me 😂🤦🏻♀️Stephanie K.

FAQ about our Los Angeles dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Los Angeles area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 337 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 53 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
