Dog Heaven 3 Acre Fully Fenced Private Property

Fully Fenced
3 acres

2 people max per reservation. Additional guests can be added by purchasing the “Extra Guest Add-On” for each person. For directions, please take screenshots of the “photos for access” in case you lose reception in the area and in case people take off our Sniffspot logo signs. Plan to arrive 15 min before your scheduled visit to make sure you have time to find the spot, park, walk etc. We are home with our dogs so please don’t get too close to the big house to avoid our dogs from wanting to come out and play. Small house and basketball court ok to be around. Magical place for dogs and owners. The property is beautiful and interesting to explore and relax with benches throughout. Bring your own pic-nic and enjoy it in the secret garden. Or shoot some hoops in the basketball court. It’s an experience for both dog and owner. Come enjoy 3+ acres of fully fenced area! A true hidden gem with entrance from the awesome San Vincent public hike trail with access to free parking. UNEVEN TERRAIN: Entrance can be steep and there are hills in the property and uneven terrain. Terrain takes a couple of days after rain to fully dry out so wear good shoes and always watch your step. We have three dogs who will be kept indoors and out of sight during your visit. Getting into the property is an adventure of its own, just follow the signs. 2-5 min walk from parking lot. Once you are here you can explore freely and take it all in :) IMPORTANT: Public parking at entrance of trail and entrance to property is via hike trail. Every now and then you might encounter a person walking a dog there or riding a horse. Please come prepared! We do not provide bags or trash cans (so please try to take your dog’s poop with you, if you can find it) We provide water but you must get it yourself. You can find a bowl at the outdoor sink next to the green house on the west door. The water from the sink is clean well water. Please leave bowl on the same spot. Restrooms are not available. If plum trees have fruit feel free to pick some and enjoy! Fun gopher holes they can put their nose in, but please stop your dog from digging! 😅 Note for reactive dogs: We completely understand how important safety is for reactive dogs, and many guests choose our space for that reason. That said, please note that the trail to get to our property is public and not something we can control. You may run into another dog or horse on the public trail. Additionally, at the corner of the western side, there is heavy fencing and dense bushes that act as an additional barrier, but a neighboring dog might be present and bark. Our space itself is secure, fully fenced, and a safe environment. All just for you. No other animals inside the property unless you request a playdate with one of our dogs. Please don’t forget to download the photos and pay attention to the directions to know the proper address to put on your GPS. And remember you might lose reception here so copy those as well. Feel free to ask me any questions before booking :) We look forward to your visit!

Your Complete Guide to Dog Parks in San Francisco

Hiked all the way up to Corona Heights Dog Park only to find it's basically a dirt hillside with aggressive dogs and zero shade? Or tried Fort Funston on a foggy Saturday when it feels like half of San Francisco brought their off-leash dogs? SF dog owners are dealing with a lot. The public off-leash dog parks are either on hills that require mountaineering skills, totally exposed to wind and fog, or so packed you can't move. Plus parking costs more than your coffee, and that's saying something.

San Francisco's got plenty of public spots like Fort Funston, Corona Heights, Alamo Square, Duboce Park, and the fenced areas at Golden Gate Park, but here's what you're really getting: crowded fenced-in areas, steep terrain, microclimates that make planning impossible, and the usual codes and signs about vaccination requirements, collars and tags, and current tag information. Dog owners from the Marina to the Mission to Sunset are booking private Sniffspot yards instead. Fully fenced spaces on flat ground where your dog doesn't need to be part mountain goat. No dog bite incidents with tech bros' poorly socialized pandemic puppies, just secure fenced-in land you can actually rely on.

Why San Francisco Dog Owners Love Private Dog Parks

Public off-leash areas here come with asterisks. Your dog's recall is iffy? You need real fencing, not hoping they won't chase a squirrel down to Ocean Beach. It's 65 and foggy in July? Some dogs need sun and warmth, not Karl the Fog. Dog gets reactive around large dogs or stressed in chaotic play areas? Private bookings let them decompress without the Marina dog park social scene.

SF Sniffspot hosts understand city dog life. Properties with actual sun (rare and valuable), agility equipment for high-energy breeds, flat walking areas that don't require hiking boots. Nobody's checking if other dogs are spayed or neutered. No exposure to communicable diseases at overcrowded water stations. Training with food or treats? Possible without fifty distractions and someone's unleashed Aussie photobombing.

What Your San Francisco Dog Actually Needs

SF dogs need more than the typical off-leash dog parks situation. They need fully fenced yards on reasonably flat ground, not just access to hiking trails on 40-degree inclines. They need water fountains that work. They need consistent dog defecation cleanup with functional bag stations and waste stations, not overflowing trash cans at public play areas. And honestly? They need sun sometimes, which is harder to find than street parking.

Where to Find Dog Parks in San Francisco

Over 350 Sniffspots cover San Francisco and the Bay Area. Marina, Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, Mission, Castro, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Sunset, Richmond, Presidio Heights. Plus Peninsula options in Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Pacifica. Even Marin County if you want to cross the bridge.

Search for dog fields for runners, fenced-in areas for security, agility equipment for bored smart dogs.

Pro Tips for San Francisco Dog Park Visits

Check microclimates before booking because it could be 80 in the Mission and 55 and foggy in Sunset. Bring layers for yourself, water (even when it's cold, dogs need hydration), poop bags for waste stations. Morning bookings often have better weather before fog rolls in. Food or treats for training? Way more effective in private fenced-in land without distractions.

Here's why Sniffspot works: your time slot is exclusively yours. No off-leash dogs while their owners are taking calls from their startups. No navigating weird San Francisco dog park hierarchies. No driving around for 20 minutes looking for parking near walking areas. Just private space where your dog can run around on flat ground without you wondering if they're about to roll down a hill. Frequently asked questions about San Francisco dog parks

What types of dog parks are available in San Francisco?

San Francisco offers 364 diverse Sniffspot options including fully fenced dog parks, small dog parks, and dog fields. Whether you need a fully-fenced yard for a dog with poor recall, a climate-controlled indoor space, a swimming pool for hot days, or an expansive field for running, you'll find it in San Francisco. Filter by fencing, size, amenities, and "fewer dogs seen/heard" to find your ideal match.

Are San Francisco dog parks safe for all dog types?

Yes! San Francisco Sniffspot locations are designed to accommodate every dog: energetic puppies, cautious seniors, tiny toy breeds, giant breeds, social dogs, and yes—reactive or selective dogs too. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the exact environment they need. Whether your dog thrives with stimulation or needs calm and quiet, San Francisco has 364 options to match their personality and needs.

How do I book a dog park in San Francisco?

Browse 364 available San Francisco dog parks, select your preferred date and time, and reserve instantly through the Sniffspot platform. Most San Francisco locations offer instant booking, while some hosts prefer to approve requests. You'll receive confirmation, exact address details, and check-in instructions after booking.

When can I visit San Francisco dog parks?

Sniffspot's private booking system lets you reserve San Francisco dog parks based on host availability, and many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for your schedule. Check individual San Francisco listings for specific availability and any seasonal considerations.

Do I need a membership for San Francisco dog parks?

Sniffspot operates on a membership model with monthly or annual plans that include credits for bookings. Members get discounts at participating spots. New users can start with a 7-day free trial. Don't worry, there are no additional booking fees! Your credits cover everything.

What's the most popular dog park in San Francisco?

Nina's 0.5 Acre Fully Fenced Yard *Proceeds Go to SF SPCA* is highly rated in San Francisco, known for excellent amenities and consistently positive reviews. However, the "best" park depends on your dog's needs. A reactive dog might prioritize privacy and secure fencing, while an active dog might prefer acres of running space. Browse San Francisco listings to find your perfect fit.

Can I use San Francisco dog parks for training?

Absolutely! San Francisco dog parks are excellent for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice agility, socialize puppies, or help reactive dogs build confidence, all without the unpredictability of public dog parks. Many San Francisco professional trainers use Sniffspot for client sessions.

Are San Francisco dog parks fenced?

Many San Francisco Sniffspots are fully fenced, but not all. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures if your dog doesn't have reliable recall. Listings show fencing details including height, gaps, and type so you can confirm it'll contain your escape artist. For reactive dogs who need visual barriers, look for solid fencing options.
