The space is mostly lush grass and secured with a 6-foot privacy fence, offering plenty of room for off-leash fun. There’s also a child’s play structure that curious pups (or kids) may enjoy exploring, plus open space for fetch, zoomies, or sniffing to their heart’s content. For humans, our large covered patio features comfortable shaded seating around a spacious table—perfect for relaxing while your dog plays. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or an energetic outing, the yard provides a clean, welcoming environment for both dogs and their people. We created Waffles Ranch because we know how valuable it can be to have a safe, private place where dogs can truly stretch their legs, train, and enjoy the outdoors. Guests are welcome to enjoy our splash pad, dog pool, fresh water station, bowls, toys, waste bags, towels, and agility equipment, including jumps, weave poles, and a tunnel. Unwind under the pine trees in our shaded seating area, complete with two chairs and a coffee table (and don't worry if your pup hops on the table—ours certainly does!). For your comfort, the pasture and seating area are treated periodically with pet-safe products to help reduce mosquitoes and make outdoor play more enjoyable for both dogs and humans. Accessibility note: Waffles Ranch includes an upper grassy area with shade and seating, accessible by stairs. Dogs with mobility limitations or joint issues may prefer to remain in the lower pasture. (We are working on solutions to make this more accessible for all pups!) We're always making improvements and would love your feedback as Waffles Ranch continues to grow. This ensures safety for your pet and respect for the space. • We typically leave a fresh bowl of water out for our doggie guests. If you happen to see the water bowl is not filled up, it’s because we weren’t home during your booking time to fill fresh water. You have full permission to access the hose to fill the water bowl with fresh water. • Treat the space with care. This is our family’s yard, and we’re happy to share it with respectful guests! Otherwise, I am just posting to give you a heads up about all the dirt, dirt piles, and an “unsightly yard”. Thus far, all the dogs have loved all the smells and have enjoyed exploring all the dirt piles :). We have a big backyard, completely fenced in and it's a dog paradise. We have a deck for humans to sit on and hang while the pups play. Right now we have 2 large camp chairs set up but should be getting patio furniture at some point so it will be a little more comfortable. I have a Chuck-it and some other toys that you are welcome to play with and use. There is a water bowl out back and if it is empty or the dogs drink it all up, then there is a hose you can use to fill it up.

I’ve got a big backyard with plenty of shady spots for relaxing and sunny patches perfect for sunbathing. There’s even a kiddie pool to cool off in! It’s a little small (mom says she’s “easing me into it”), but if you’re into water, go for it. If you like chasing squirrels, you’re in luck. They are everywhere! Seriously. It’s kind of my specialty. And as for grasshoppers… let’s just say I’ve handled that situation. Those things are annoying, so I take care of them myself. Mom also offers extra playtime with me (you should definitely choose this—I already know I love you, it’s just how I am). I’m full of energy when we first meet, but once I know you’re sticking around, I’ll settle down and give you space… if that’s your vibe. Otherwise, we can play. And play. And play some more. If you prefer to hang in my yard by yourself, that's cool too. Enjoy all the smells. Mom has some garden boxes in the back and she composts in the center of them. The smells coming from there are my favorite, 10/10, but she put a fence around everything so you will have to sniff from afar. 🐶

This Sniffspot is a close, rural ambiance location in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. The Training Yard The Training Yard is a 60’ x 30’ fenced yard with a Dog Tuff ™ grass surface. This is a unique grass designed with dogs and drought tolerance in mind. The Training Yard is a place for your focused training. You can also use this area as a cool down area after playing in the field. And of course, this is a great yard for my guests with smaller paw prints. Please be mindful that you may want to roll in this grass with your dogs as I do with mine, so please spend time in the field area to potty your dogs before entering the Training Yard. REACTION NOTICE: I share a 300-foot fence line with the neighbor to the west and have installed privacy screening to minimize distractions. The neighbor has dozens of loose chickens, and the dogs do not bother them. Dogs may bark with curiosity, which is normal and okay, but they often stop once they realize the chickens do not react. Also, the neighbor has a dog that infrequently, though on random occasion has access to this shared fence line. Please consider this if your dog is very highly reactive.

The wood chips around the play ground did blow away to Kansas I’m guessing. The yard has concrete edging to protect your pups paws from the sharp metal edging that is out there.
