Lots of room to run and play! Woods to explore and a pond to swim. Come let your pups have fun
Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a 1/4 mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.
For August ONLY, enjoy complete, private access to Mahala Springs and Farm, an outdoor event venue where we invite you to make unforgettable memories together as you swim in the creek, chase frogs in ‘Cara’s Pond,’ explore the nature trails, or walk the 1-mile greenway, with it’s breathtaking views of pastures and cliffs, as it meanders through a cedar forest and along the crystal clear water of BeaverDam Creek. The venue Barn takes a break during the month of August- for remodels and improvements. We do this during the ‘Dog Days of Summer,’ so why not turn THAT into an event FOR our dogs?! It’s the perfect time to provide an unforgettable experience for man’s best friend. 😍
Welcome to Beaverton's Dog Trails. Please access the trails from Concession 6, not our driveway at the front on Concession 5/Durham regional road 15. Punch these coordinates into Google Maps: 44.4415942, -79.1065234. There is a SniffSpot Sign at the entrance. You may park in the driveway. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. Enjoy your visit! IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD
IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Give your dog wide open space to run and play here on a large acreage right in town. Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the active farming. Dogs won’t have access To that portion of the land. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. We are continuing to build trails on the hillside and a portion of it you can access on the hill but currently the main trail is at the base of the hill.
IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Located just on city limits north of the Hart, this is an 18 minute drive from downtown PG. Cameras located on the property for safety and security. Fences are not intended to restrain dogs, so dogs must be trusted on recall. Please arrive in adequate footwear. There are active hay fields so grass will be long at certain times of year. Dress appropriately if you don’t like itchy legs ;) I offer mosquito repellent in case you wish to visit the pond. Message me for directions to the pond if you’re unsure from looking at google satellite views. Feel free to also message me for a more detailed overview/map of the 156 acres. Cattle are currently grazing in one of the fields. If you’re unsure about your dogs around livestock please let us know and I’ll show you which field to avoid. In the winter, we will have trails “groomed” for boot/snow shoe access depending on the conditions.

Daily 6 A.M. until 8 P.M. we offer a partially fenced, groomed 1 acre + 2 field play areas, where your dogs can run free. And we offer 4 trails currently. We have chairs in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. There is a pond in the first field but I don't recommend it for swimming except in May, but feel free! Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field. From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Part way back there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring and this summer due to all the rain we have had. This is marked with orange pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Just past the culvert, we currently offer a trail around our wheat field going East that is plowed currently. It's along woods and takes about 15 minutes ending on the main trail. Just past here, we have a very nice trail around a soybean field, going East initially. This trail is very pretty and easy to follow. It's about half a mile and takes 10 or 15 minutes to walk. There are a couple of wet/muddy spots so be mindful. This trail ends in another small play area and you can continue through a short shady walk, ending back at the main trail at the bottom of the hill. Alternately, you can access the shady walk at the bottom of the big hill once you get there along the main trail. This walk is very pretty, maybe 10 minutes in and back to the main trail. Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field trail, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. Cooler times are before 11 a.m. We plan to add a trail through the woods in the late fall once the insects and ticks die off. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $6/hour and guests will be charged in USD*** On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks. They are dog and family friendly; an all around great place to visit! Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. Please feel free to text with any questions. Thank you!
Beautiful partially fenced acreage located in the Scenic Loess Hills with easy access to I-29. There are two fully fenced garden areas, an approximately 1/2 mile walking trail, and a large un-fenced area that pets can run off-leash.
