55This spot was big enough to play fetch with my 60-lb dog. There were some other dogs who passed by, but they weren't too much of a distraction. There are some small gaps around the gates of the chain-link fence that a really small dog may be able to get through, but otherwise the yard was secure and I felt safe letting my dog run freely. There was fresh water when we got there, and a few toys.Megan S.

55This was perfect for what we were looking for! The yard is fully fenced and there was a garbage for poop bag, a few toys, and some fresh water put out for us! Maisie had a great time sniffing around and playing some ball unimpeded. It was a little muddy in places but that’s to be expected with the warm weather. Bella K.

55A nice and quiet, shaded yard! It is on the smaller side because of the plants and landscaping, but it is well maintained. The yard is fully fenced and the host had toys, water, and a chair for us. A few people, cars, and dogs walked by.Kristin J.

55As someone who lives in a small apartment without yard space, I am always looking for ways to exercise and tire out my very active (and dog & human reactive) 18 month old puppy. This was the perfect spot! The yard was big enough for my pup (35 lbs) to run and play fetch while the high privacy fence ensured that she was not reacting to any potential passerby or attempting to make a break for it. The yard/perimeter was extremely secure and there were no people or dogs in sight. Chantel even kindly put out water and toys to welcome us. I am SO happy I found this spot to allow my pup to live her best off-leash life -- and then sleep soundly after. :)Meghan T.

55Great yard! There’s a table to sit at with chairs, and the yard was really easy to get into with just a gate that opens and closes. There’s also a faucet on the back of the house that you can use if your dog is thirsty. Very kind and responsive house owner as wellKaydee M.

55We visited at night (7p) and there’s not a ton of light in the area, so this spot might be best during the day :) aside from that, it was just what we needed! Our dog sniffed around and played with her Giggle ball and wore herself out.Kelsey K.

55Great spot, the host left us water, and our pup had a lot of fun! Unfortunately, he just is just easily excited by a busy neighborhood, and it wasn't a good fit for him. But we would totally recommend it to others!Eva C.

55It's a good amount of space and my girl had fun! If your dog is a fence runner you should know that the fence along the the sidewalk / front of the house is a low for a big dog. My dog isn't a fence runner but barks at passer-dogs all the time so i kept her toward the back of the yard and away from the front fence. Valerie O.

FAQ about our Minneapolis dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 96% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Minneapolis area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 186 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 18 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
