I almost donβt want to rate this spot so it stays a hidden gem!
Iβm always wary about booking yards in suburban areas where there isnβt privacy fencing because my dog is reactive, but we were here for 2 hours in the evening on a weeknight and didnβt see any dogs in the nearby backyards, and only saw a handful walking past on the opposite street.
We heard one or two dogs barking a few houses down but again, didnβt see them so it was not a problem. Also heard a cat inside, but my pup was too busy running around and sniffing it didnβt bother her at all.
The other reason why I was hesitant to book this yard is because my dog is very high energy and likes to sniff everything and run a LOT. But there was more than enough room for her to get a lot of zoomies out & lots of plants and things for her to sniff and explore.
We will definitely be coming back π
A new favorite! This is indeed a dog gem. Lots of great smells and room to run in a quiet and secluded area. A bonus for us is there were no signs of rabbits, since Milo is obsessed with eating rabbit poop. Neighbor dog was out for a few minutes, running and barking along the fence. Its owner came out and called them away, so it wasnβt an issue for us. Looking forward to our next visit!
My dog Athena and I really enjoyed our time here! Quiet, isolated, easy to find and plenty of space for all activities like frisbee. There was a neighbor dog that came out and barked at us a few times during our visit so be aware if you have a reactive dog. The situation was short lived since the other dog lost interest quickly. This was a great opportunity for us because we have been working hard on Athenaβs reactivity towards other dogs and she handled it very well! So we welcomed the practice. Overall a very positive experience and we will definitely be back! Thanks for having us.
We loved it! The location is in a quiet area, which was great for my dog that is fearful of loud noises and can be reactive due to trauma. The fencing was secure, and the yard was clean and spacious. There was a bowl of clean water left out, and there is a shaded area with chairs to sit on. It was my first time using Sniff Spot, and I miss booked. Shelbi was kind enough to accommodate my error the following day. My dog was so happy running around off-leash, and that's what it's all about! We will be going back. Thank you!
Shelbi has a real gem of a spot! I have 2 doodles and they absolutely loved the backyard, they were doing 50 yard sprints as soon as I took them off their leash. My husband and I sat on the deck and threw the balls until they were so tuckered out they laid down in the shade and just enjoyed being outdoors. There was water out for them which was a great perk!
I will be booking again in the very near future.
Thank you Shelbi!
Six stars if I could! The site was easy to find, and parking was simple. Julia left snacks, water for humans and dogs, extra bags, and hand sanitizer out in a little crate for guests. The yard was spaciousβplenty of room for two 50-60 pound dogs to chase around until they got tired. We'd love to visit this spot again!
Remus and his friend Windy loved this yard! We felt very safe by all of the enclosed fencing and the pups were able to do so many zoomies around the yard because of all the space. The deck was an amazing bonus as there was plenty of seating area for the humans, and Rhett left a fresh bowl of water out for us as well as some toys that the dogs loved to play with! I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was despite being in the city, so my sometimes-timid dog was able to be his goofy self and just enjoy all the smells and shrubbery in the yard. We will definitely be back!Β
As someone who lives in a small apartment without yard space, I am always looking for ways to exercise and tire out my very active (and dog & human reactive) 18 month old puppy. This was the perfect spot! The yard was big enough for my pup (35 lbs) to run and play fetch while the high privacy fence ensured that she was not reacting to any potential passerby or attempting to make a break for it. The yard/perimeter was extremely secure and there were no people or dogs in sight. Chantel even kindly put out water and toys to welcome us. I am SO happy I found this spot to allow my pup to live her best off-leash life -- and then sleep soundly after. :)
We loved our time here! The fence seemed to be super secure, so I didn't have to worry about that. One thing to know is that there is a deck that has enough room for a dog to crawl under. My dog did, but she had so much fun crawling around and sniffing, so it was fine with me! There didn't seem to be anything for her to eat down there. Just be conscious if you have a dog that would refuse to come out or hide. The host also left out a nice, fresh bowl of water for us which we appreciated!
What a great host! She had awesome communication, helped me find a time that worked well for both of us. Even had some treats, a water bowl, bottled water, toys and waste bags out when. The yard was big and open, and made for great frisbee time. The fence was fully enclosed and no other yards were visible. There was some nearby dog noise, but that is out of anyone's control. We will absolutely be back again.
This was our first time using a Sniff Spot and my dog enjoyed herself a lot! We picked a really cold day so we didn't end up staying very long but we will be back! The yard is big enough for my husky to get in some good laps and stretch out to run and the fence is very tall and secure. The host's dogs did bark at first but just as stated in the description they soon quieted and weren't a problem. It also sounded like they were secured in the house somewhere away from the back door. We went at noon on a Wednesday and we did not hear or see any neighbor dogs.
