Welcome to The Barkyard!  We have a half acre of fenced in yard just outside Main Street Manotick, beautifully maintained with plenty of sunshine and fresh air for your pet to roam free!  For Winter, we groomed a fun network of connected paths in the snow, perfect for smaller dogs and those who like to explore! Driveway or on street parking is available with easy access to the backyard.  Come relax in our infinity chairs while your pup runs free!!  We just ask that you pick up after your dogs before you leave.  Doggy bags and a waste container are provided for your convenience! Before or after your visit, feel free to access the Rideau River with direct access to the water for a swim or paddle in the summer, a skate in winter, or just to enjoy the view!

Visit 3 times and your 4th visit is free from March to June 30th. *Sniffspot currently lists all prices in US dollars* Welcome! we have a deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. the yard is 1.5 acres and fully fenced. Additionally we have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. During the winter the front and back lawn have a cleared path, the trail in the woods has been plowed and is available for use. feel free to message me for current conditions. All dog breeds welcome, reactive dogs welcome.

March 2023: We've limited hours while the snow melts because the yard is VERY wet! We'll open up more hours once things dry out a little bit. *NOTE! Sniffspot currently lists all prices in US dollars*. There are no taxes or fees. Welcome! Sniffspot is for private rentals. When you book a Sniffspot, you and your dog(s) are the only ones in the space (plus anyone you invite). Playdates and get togethers that you organize are welcome! Our Sniffspot has two areas: 1. The main Sniffspot is our backyard (attached to the house), which is about 1.5 acres of mostly open lawn... great for playing fetch or running at top speed! It is securely fenced with 5' fencing. In this area, you will find a gazebo seating area, dog toys, and (seasonally) agility equipment and a kiddie pool. In the winter there are plowed paths. **CLOSED UNTIL SPRING**2. A separate, fenced, 8 acre field is also available. The field has a large cleared section in the middle surrounded by walking paths. Note that the field passes close to two neighbouring properties **seeing and hearing the neighbour's dog on their nearby property IS possible**. The field is fully fenced with a 4 foot fence. All breeds are welcome. Reactive dogs welcome. VACCINES: All visiting dogs MUST be up to date on core vaccines (DHPP) or titer tested. ***Charges are in USD*** *we are closed for the month of February due to winter conditions* This is a 1.5 acre field that is perfect for off-leash and distraction free time with your dogs! This space provides apt enrichment for dogs of all ages. The space offers a combination of grassy fields, small wooded area, and a small pond for dogs to run and explore. There is a seating area and garbage bin for owners to use. This Sniffspot provides your dog the opportunity to just be a dog! When you book a visit you will be the only person on the property, so there is no risk of distractions caused by other people or animals. If you have a new pup that is having recall problems, or you have a reactive dog, this is a perfect stress-free environment for them to enjoy. They will be able to run and play without risk of getting too far, or seeing another dog. We offer a discount to anyone with foster dogs, please reach out for details.
