Location

Comstock Park, Michigan

Description

There are some residuals from the tornado; still some sticks to pick up and there is un-even terrain from the grooves of heavy equipment. We are working towards improvement and continued recovery. Note... :) and we are planning to groom trails thru the park for winter time romping and sniffing. Easy parking and easy location 1/2 mile north of the Comstock Park High School. 10 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids, with a country feel. Lots of room to stretch and run, dig, play catch, etc on this enclosed 2.5 acre park like atmosphere. Several sitting areas so you can visit and relax. Bring your best friend and their dog friends too. Have a date or party of it. Make yourself at home and enjoy!

Cleanliness

88% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

There are still residual effects from the tornado ----- the pile of stumps, the burn piles, the terrain is a bit rough and uneven from heavy equipment. And several areas/and things amiss from neglect (due to redirected focuses) But is Fenced and safe !!!! AND still enjoyable. Dogs dig and the terrain is sometimes uneven - watch out for these. Wildlife is often seen on the property. Squirrels, turkey, deer, chipmunks.

My dogs had a great time romping around! The yard was completely fenced in, so I loved being able to let my dogs run! We will definitely be visiting again!

Securely fenced and lots of space! Even had some lovely amenities such as binoculars, phone charger, and an Alexa/google device to play music! My dog loved it. Will definitely be going back!

Great place. Will definitely go back. Perfect size for dog just learning to be off leash. Plenty of room to run, but not so much that you need to worry about them getting too far away. Was a hot day, so our pup especially enjoyed the splash pad and kiddie pool and I enjoyed having plenty of shady areas to get out of the sun.

What a wonderful place for pups! The hosts were so kind and accommodating. They had kiddie pools ready for my pups, and little notes everywhere for helpful tips. My dogs had a BLAST, we will be back!

Very fun spot. My beagle loved to sniff and run free. He liked to go through the woods and check everything out. Awesome that there are towels, hand sanitizer and poop scoops available. Many many amenities. We enjoyed our time and I felt very secure the whole time.

My name is Linda Moon. I started working with dogs when i was a kid - growing up in Kentwood Michigan. One of my first paying jobs was at Hobby Hill Dog Kennels (it's no longer there) At my day job I'm a Quality System Engineer, working to help companies thru third party audits. Finding SniffSpot appears to be a great opportunity. I've always tried to have my yard be very park like. The whole house operations are built around the dogs that own the place. We are on a journey of continual improvement here at Moon Valley Dog Park. Recently added a splash pad as well as long term plans for adding agility tools. We are happy to share this little piece of heaven with you. Look forward to seeing your reservation. :)
