55Beautiful spot!
55A fun place to walk your dogs and explore while looking for critters. If they like to swim, there is a pond also! My dogs fell right asleep once they were back in the car
55We had such a nice time! It was easy to find and had a great amount of space to run around and sniff. Kona played in the pond and took laps around the front yard area. We didn’t go towards the back but truthfully didn’t need to! There was plenty to explore up front. Literally no issues, a 5/5 visit and we’ll probably be back!!
55Our dogs had a great time exploring and running off leash!
35The property was beautiful and my dogs enjoyed exploring on such a nice day. One of them even did some swimming in the small pond. As described in the listing there is a parking spot right in front of the house with a trash can, water dish, towels, and dog treats. There is a very long driveway from the property entrance up to the house and only the land in the front part of the house is the 'sniff area' which is roughly 3-4 acres maybe (the property lines to the sides are not entirely clear). The listing notes 15 acres but most of that is on-leash only. You do have to be very careful as stated in the front off-leash area because the fencing is minimal and missing in some areas and the property is on a relatively busy main road. Dogs must have very good recall to visit this location or you have to stay very close to the house with dogs who do not wander far from their person. During my visit there were 3 different times that a truck or van either entered or left the property via the driveway and I had to move out of the way with my dogs to avoid the vehicle. I do not feel that this is something I should have to encounter during a visit. Additionally, one of the times a van entered, a man got out of the van and approached another man who appeared from the rear of the property to speak to him. My dogs are not comfortable with strangers and thankfully both have good recall because one of them did charge at the men. I wanted this to be a peaceful and relaxing time for my dogs but we had to remain watchful. When we decided to leash up and check out the 'chicken farm' and corn field at the rear of the property we encountered another person (this was ok because we were on leash) however the ground back there was littered with trash from food and beer cans and the chickens were being kept indoors (?!). I had to be careful where I stepped and make sure my dogs didn't eat any leftover food or trash off the ground. I was told by this man that I could walk through the corn fields (it was all dead) which I did for a little while but it wasn't clear where the property ended and I didn't want to accidently trespass. I think this spot actually has great potential but use some improvements.
45The area was awesome!
55Great visit as always!
55We had a great time, took the ball launcher and our pup loved having so much space to run around in.
55Excellent and a bench for me by the pond
45This spot is alright if your dog doesn’t wonder around too much. I was aware of the partial fence however it’s not stated that there’s a busy road right in front of the place. Any dog could easily end up getting out. It would be beneficial to know where the land limits are, we went to the back of the house but it seems like there were men working and figured to keep playing in the front yard. It’s not in the instructions where one is allowed to go or what’s going on in the backyard. I’m not exactly sure if the front yard alone is 15 acres, unless there’s a big chunk of land hidden in the back. The ponds looked quite dirty, maybe it’s due to the weather.

Host replied: Thank you so much for the feedback! we only have a few weeks into the sniff spots industry and still adjusting and learning better ways to share with the community our blessings. About the pond, my daughter was kayaking a few days ago and it was fine, but is a complete natural pond, we try to allow the nature to do her thing as much as possible before interfering with the natural process. We sorry this was an inconvenient for you. I just updated the instructions as specific as I could. Come back soon. I’ll be glad to share my space with you again. 🐕‍🦺

Where Dogs can be Dogs

This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂
