55Lots is space for the dogs to run around. Thought it was hilarious to listen to my dog howl at the rooster.
55Host has thought everything to make your time enjoyable. I was very comfortable with my dog running around and exploring.
55We had a great time at Summit Ridge Canine Retreat! The host set out a cute goodie bag and the hot coffee latte was a nice touch for the cold morning. Literally thought of everything there from seating to water stations and poop bag stations. My dog enjoyed all of the sniffs and stick library! Very peaceful place and I sat on the swinging lounge drinking my hot coffee while my dog sniffed and explored. The Gnomes in the woods were cute too. My dog was very tired the whole afternoon which was my goal. We will definitely return
55This was our first visit here. It was wonderful! We started out at the indoor bldg because it decided to rain, lots of fun things in there, made our way to the zoomie spot which is complete with toys and then ventured out back to the huge roaming and sniffing area! We will be back for sure! Hospitality for dogs and humans was great!
55We had an amazing time!! I will definitely be returning!
55Susie liked the nice walk in the wooden area . Funny she was more scared of the chickens. Susie came home tired from the running, zooming and fetching. Very nice park with plenty of water stations.
55Indie and I absolutely loved coming here! Summit Ridge is incredibly thoughtful - with both pup and human in mind. They provided signs and a message before arrival containing every detail so you knew where to go. We were greeted by a lovely welcome bag full of goodies, fresh water, clean ammenities (and even refreshments for us humans!) The attention to detail throughout the property did not go unnoticed. Signs will lead you anywhere you need to go, and there are sevral shaded areas with seating, fresh water (and bowls) as well as activities. There were cots available for use, an agility course, and plenty of seating for humans. I also love that you can be both indoors or out. I cannot say enough great things about Summit Ridge. Very friendly and accomodating. We will certainly be back!
55Easy to get to, parking was easy. We loved how there was an indoor play area that opened up to a play field. Beyond that play field is another much larger field and woods area for the doggies to roam and play. Everything was secure, just be sure to close/secure the front gate after you park! The host has thought of pretty much everything. Hot water and coffee/hot cocoa were available, towels, toys, doggy bags, water stations, etc! She even left a welcoming goody bag! We will definitely be back. Honestly, we’ve been looking for a big Sniffspot that did NOT have a creek/pond. Our dogs love water, but it’s annoying having to bathe them every time. I think we found a spot that fits the bill for those “dryer” play days :)
55We loved this Sniffspot! They had a gift for us which it was so sweet. Indi got to see chickens, hiked in the backwoods and had zoomies like a 100 times 🤣😂 And oh, she loves bubbles! 🫧🫧
55Absolutely beautiful. Nicole was very thought full from the goodie bag, clean towels, plenty of water bowls and intriguing chickens. She even had refreshments for the pet parents. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you so much!!

Description

Centrally located in the Summit area nestled between Tacoma and Puyallup. We’re just minutes between the I-5 and 512. At Summit Ridge Canine Retreat, there’s something to satisfy your dog’s need to stimulate their natural curiosity and bring them home tired…the humans too! Included in your booking, you and your pup(s) will have all three different areas to engage their noses in different sensory experiences while on our 2.5 acre fully fenced property. Whether it’s our indoor arena, the “Dog Den” is suitable for small to medium sized dogs to play. The indoor arena is heated, during the cold rainy season and also air conditioned during the hot summer months. The indoor arena is also great for having a Birthday or Gotcha “Pawty”. The arena can be fully enclosed for those rainy days or open the slider into the fully fenced 1/4 acre grass dog Zoomy Pen🐶 The fully enclosed grass “Zoomie Pen”is perfect for zoomie time, puppies and dogs in training, some toy fun, or for dogs without good recall. Just outside the Zoomy Pen is our large play field giving lots of room for Chuckit tossing☄️parkour on the logs or some nose work fun and mind stimulation. The large playfield connects to the backwoods🌲so 🐾Venture out to the 1.5 acre wooded area providing a cool shaded area of trails for more sniffing, wildlife spotting and occasional llamas from the neighboring back pasture🦙 For an even greater experience, we offer some add ons that are sure to enhance your dog’s stimuli and go home tired from all the fun! ———————————————- **New guests use promo code SUMMIT5 for $5 off your first visit.

Cleanliness

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Blackberry bushes throughout the far east side of the fencing of the backwoods area. The field has dips and slight incline. When in the backwoods, watch your footing in the grassy area due to mole mounds, dips and potential tripping on blackberry vines in the trails. We are working tirelessly to clear the blackberries from the wooded area and made more walking trails but still working on the area whenever we can. **Closed shoes or hikers are strongly advised.**

Host replied: Thank you, so happy you enjoyed it here despite the cold and wet weather. Thank you for the pictures, your Goldens are lovely. 🐕 We actually do have a small pond in the front garden but it’s not something that the dogs play in; especially the large ones! If your dogs love water, when you visit again I suggest adding the “water bark” extra during the dryer play days, that’s a fun experience to the already provided XL Doggie pool.
