55Stephanie’s spot was so lovely for a warm summer day! She was a great communicator as we were running a bit late and she even offered to extend our time. Sadly my pups didn’t last too long in the heat 😂 but the pool was a really nice addition and the bucket of toys she provided definitely added to the fun. We’ll definitely be back!!
55Thanks again for having us! Calvin and Nami always have a blast in your yard. And thank you for the shade and extra water on this beautiful hot day!
55Great yard!
55Great yard! Appreciated the secondary gate, water bowls, and umbrellas for shade!
55Stephanie was a great host! She set out a bowl of water, some treats, and an assortment of toys. We went in the morning and her yard was partially shaded which was nice, too. Only thing to note is that the nextdoor neighbor has a balcony that is visible from Stephanie’s yard. This neighbor has 2 large dogs that came out onto the balcony, which our dog saw and reacted to. I was able to redirect our dog back to playing and the neighbor dogs went back inside, but if you have a dog who doesn’t redirect easily, this may be something to consider.
55We love Stephanie’s yard! It’s clean, has plenty of toys and water for dogs, and even some water bottles for the humans.
55Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure our pups had the best experience! I left a note to say that my Husband, friend and I were getting our sibling pups together to celebrate their 4th birthday. And Stephanie surprised us with birthday decorations and personalized gifts for our birthday boys! 🥰 5 stars isn’t enough, Stephanie deserves a million ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best experience we’ve had on Sniffspot! We will be booking again in the future. Thank you Stephanie! 🫶🏽
45Great spot with the perfect amount of grass and thanks so much for cold water. Our dogs seemed to really enjoy running around!
55We had a great experience here! It was perfect for 3 dogs to romp around, super secure and clean.
55My boys had the best time at Stephanie’s Sniffspot. They zoomed, enjoyed the treats (thank you!), splashed in the kiddy pool and rolled in the grass.

Location

Edmonds, Washington

Description

The back yard where you’ll be is all grass with a small patio area surrounded by a secure 6 foot wood fence with a double gated entry. •Please note• We have added a seasonal pool for the humans (location in yard shown in photos) that is off limits to guests and is gated off with a wire fence. Wading pool, hose, or sprinkler available as extra add ons upon request. We have a table, chairs, and patio umbrellas you’re welcome to use as well as any dog toys that are in the yard. If it’s raining during your visit or your dog(s) will be doing water play, I’ll provide a towel. There is a power outlet next to the slider you’re welcome to use.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

•Grass is not level, there are natural bumps and dips. •If you sit on the end of any of the benches, it might flip. •You might see birds of prey overhead. We’ve seen bald eagles teaching their fledglings to fly lately and can hear them calling to each other to check in. But those with small dogs don’t need to worry because we also have a family or two of crows who are quite territorial and chase them off every time you see them around.

Dog Drop Off$10

Drop your dog(s) off for some playtime and go (or stay). We will keep your dog busy with all of their favorite activities. If you prefer a meet and greet visit before your Doggy Drop Off date, simply schedule a separate visit, then send me a message stating you’d like to do a meet and greet during this visit before your Doggy Drop Off date.

Mini Water Play$5

Perfect for the smaller water loving dogs on hot days! We can fill a 3 foot round dog pool with fresh cool water for your pup before your visit. If you’d like the pool filled to a specific depth, please send a message when scheduling. Pool is approximately 8 inches tall. Towels will be available. If you choose to add this and the weather isn’t cooperative, you can always message us as long as it’s within one hour of your scheduled visit, and we can save it for a future visit of your choice.

Hello! Huge animal lover here. I treat every animal like my own and stop every time I see one in trouble. I’ve had dogs my whole life. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and it makes me so very happy to be able to share my yard with you and yours!

Pig Beach (near Port Ludlow)

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry.
