45My pups loved the area. Lots of plant life and closed off space to roam off leash. The host met us at the gate and made us feel welcome. She indicated that her yard is a work in progress. I’m looking forward to returning in the future.
55Very nice space. Lots of birds today. Enjoyed our solitude for training, picnic table "meditations" and scent work searches. Nice large area was mowed recently which made for sure footing for part of the area.
45The host is working on a way to keep the gate closed during visits and should have that completed very soon. Remember it an area that likely can have wildlife, so watch for that when you come in. I have rented the space twice now to practice scent work with my dog, and it is wonderful for that. It is not manicured, so recommend boots or study shoes. I use a long lead for walking my dog there and doing our various searches. The Host is very pleasant and enjoys feedback. A lot of potential there for small group or individual teams for dog centered activities.

Description

This open space rough; not manicured, but better than it used to be! It is a work in progress. :o) Once inside the heavy gate, you will find a long grassy driveway leading into a large undeveloped parcel. Please feel free to drive in and park at the north end of the driveway. [There is no fence on the east side of the driveway.] Mother Nature propels the plants upward - but we've hired goats to trim it down. It is still pretty rough though; definitely not manicured. Now we have 2-4 goats to maintain the brush. So, your dog(s) MUST be gentle around the goats. We will meet you on your first visit to help with the goats. The large parcel is fully enclosed.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Prickly holly and some blackberry bramble ... but worker-goats have eliminated nearly all of the brush and blackberry.
