55Great place! My husky’s favorite feature was the scent wall and we had fun chasing each other and playing tag in the back area. This place may be more suitable for smaller dogs, but it is a great option for when the weather isn’t cooperative.
55I am so pleased with our visit to this new indoor Sniffspot. The staff was accommodating and helpful, and the place was very clean. When I arrived, I was a little concerned because the parking lot was full and the facility is next to a busy restaurant with dogs on the patio. I left my reactive GSD in the car so I could check things out and make arrangements to bring him in. The staff had a cat and two other dogs in the lobby/store side. I expressed how difficult it would be for my dog and the staff member made especially arrangements for us to use the rear entrance. Her dogs were so well behaved and quiet that my dog was totally fine and had a great time! Charlie loved the all the balls, especially the big blue one that he herded around the facility. We did some training too. I would highly recommend this spot and we will definitely be back. While there I even checked out a book in their library and purchased some really good dog food and treats. I heard a couple people speak very highly of the owner and dog trainer Terra, who offers training classes for reactive dogs. Thanks for opening your place up to us! See ya soon.
55My foster pup had fun exploring and playing. She was nervous about the slide and the tunnel when we first arrived, but had mastered them both by the end of the hour. She also loved the ball pit and all the different enrichment scents were cool. Thanks! We’ll be back. This is an especially great spot for rainy days.
55This was a great place for us to stretch our legs on a rainy day. It was a perfect place to get some training in too. I highly recommend!
55Absolutely love coming to visit Paws N Play! There are lots of scents for doggies to smell and lots of balls for them to chase. My dog loves coming here and I love how tired he always is afterwards. The owner is amazing and extremely knowledgeable on dogs.
55We had a blast! Lots of fun equipment, and very clean. The larger back room was open for us which was perfect as our dog is larger, and this gave us plenty of space for her to chase a ball and to work on some training. Very friendly store employee as well and Terra checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed.
55Terra is awesome and my pups had so much fun
55Amazing! My dogs ran and ran. Found favorite toys and were so happy. The bath area is perfect and Terra was so incredibly helpful. We are so happy to have Paws and Play!
55Such an awesome place! My God always has so much fun
55The host is so welcoming and knowledgeable, has lots of toys and some agility equipment. The facility is clean and has a fun and friendly atmosphere. Host quickly set up more agility equipment for my dog to work with. Highly recommend.

Description

Welcome to our exclusive Sniffspot, nestled inside a boutique Canine Community Center, where every dog is celebrated! We’re more than just a play area; we offer a treasure trove of food, supplies, activities, and supplements—many of which you won’t find anywhere else. As a dedicated dog trainer, I know the value of a good practice space. That’s why we’ve created an ideal environment for both group classes and private lessons, especially for our furry friends who find regular pet stores overwhelming. Our Sniffspot, located within our pet retail and dog wash center, is designed with your dog’s needs in mind. What We Offer: • A safe, welcoming space for all dogs, including those with severe behavioral issues. Reactive dogs can enter through the back to ensure a comfortable experience. • Attentive staff ready to provide the space and respect your dog needs. • A rotating selection of engaging play items, including a ball pit (transitioning to a digging pit), tree and train setups for brain games, treat dispensers, and an electric treat roller for endless fun. • An intriguing scent wall featuring deer tail, rabbit fur, pheasant fur, horse hair, and cat fur to stimulate your dog’s natural instincts (items subject to change based on availability). Plus, for those looking to refine their pup’s manners around felines, our resident cat is dog-friendly and an excellent distraction trainer! Special Offer: For the next two months, book your playtime for just $10 an hour! This is the perfect opportunity to explore the full potential of our facility. Expand your session to the entire center when no classes are scheduled, and enjoy off-leash recall training or simply have a joyful time with your dog. Reserve your spot today and transform your training and play sessions into extraordinary experiences at our Canine Community Center. Your dog’s adventure awaits!

*Note: due to the recent canine RSV breakout, we are allowing only 1-2 guests per day spread out so we have time to sanitize all dog bowls, balls, and toys in between visits to keep your pups safe and healthy! Also, in the winter, we may close our spot periodically during/after rainy days due to excessive mud/flooding. It usually needs a day or two to dry out. Enjoy big skies and big space in our fully fenced yard close to Curtis Park/Sac City College and only a couple of miles away from Midtown and Downtown Sacramento. We’ve got dog toys, chuck-its, dog treats, agility equipment, a pup pool + pup splash pad (both are an extra fee), poop bags, and lots of smells for your furry friends. For the humans, we've got two nice patio spaces, a table and chairs, beverages, snacks, bug spray, hand sanitizer, and sunscreen. We even have a frisbee golf basket and some discs for you to use! Enjoy the outdoor string lights in the evening, a cozy sectional couch, rocking chairs, and we offer the fire pit and patio water misters for an additional fee. We'd like to make your time in our yard as comfortable as possible! Please no smoking or vaping on our property at any time. We have made our property as safe and clean as possible but this area was mainly farmland back in the day so there is uneven ground and occasional wet and muddy grass after a hard rain so please use our property at your own risk. We do offer towels for wet and muddy paws. Lastly, please be respectful of our neighbor’s space next door and don’t hang out by the gate. We also ask that you clean up after yourself and your dog and leave our yard as it was when you entered. We really appreciate that as we may not be able to get outside to clean up in between guests when timing is tight. Our spot also offers Memberships! Get a slightly discounted rate, book your reservations further in advance, and take advantage of “member only” hours. Thank you so much!
