I’m not someone who likes to leave negative reviews but I feel compelled to let other owners know about our experience for safety reasons. This yard was absolutely COVERED in their dogs’ feces - easily months worth of it all over. I have never seen anything so disgusting and I’m shocked they let their own dogs use that backyard. I left within minutes to take my dog home to wash his feet as he was stepping in it. When I mentioned it to the host, he tried so blame the melted snow and how it had uncovered “secrets”. It had only snowed 3 days prior before melting, there is no way they did not know about the amount of poop in their yard. He also said he wished he had more of a heads up to prepare the yard but you cannot just pick up months of poo from a yard that is wet and melted into the ground and think your yard is ready to go. It’s clear they do not pick up their dogs’ poo on the regular. Leaving feces around is how you spread parasites and worms. If this is your practice you should not be hosting on Sniffspot. Also, at least two dogs were barking at us from inside the house the whole time we were there.
