55This was our first Sniffspot experience, and it didn’t disappoint! The homeowner met me when we arrived and gave me a map. It’s a beautiful property with trails and woods. We didn’t see any other dogs or people (except for a beekeeper). My dogs loved all the sniffs!
55Lots of trails to walk on, some wooded, some in a field, a campsite that had a playground for kids, just overall an amazing experience
55Absolutely awesome place with plenty of acres to explore. Truly a dog’s Heaven. Lots of trail walking and a couple places to stop and rest. Host provided a map of the site which was very helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

55Beautiful, soacious property. Mary is very friendly and helpful. We did some search and rescue training with my dog Banks and it’s a great property for that.
55Ended up having the whole place to ourselves. Clean and well kept grounds and we loved the Halloween decorations!! Host was super nice and gave us a map of the property. My 2 dogs had a blast!!
55Absolutely exceptional experience! We somehow managed to get the whole place to ourselves for 1.5 hours. The hosts were extremely friendly and gave a warm welcome. We live in an apartment and our 3 dogs are so cooped up, so this was a heavenly experience for everyone. I can’t wait to go back for longer!
45I’ve been to this spot twice now, and we really enjoyed it. The first time I wasn’t able to find the creek but on the second visit we found it and my dog had a blast! We did run into some campers on the site so I had to leash my dog around them but otherwise it was fine, and there wasn’t any other people. We will definitely be back. 
55We love this Sniffspot! They were very helpful and even provided a map so I could keep track of where we were the whole time. Everything was clearly marked and there were trails that had been mowed down to make it easier to walk around. You really do have almost full access to everywhere on site, with few exceptions. It was clear they take a lot of care with this Sniffspot and we will definitely be back! I do recommend making sure you have tick/bug preventative and supplies on hand due to the fact this is a rural area but nothing terrible and even my more timid dog has zero problems while here.

Bates Farm is a privately owned beautiful 44 acres area 8 miles from the Beltline outside of Decatur, Alabama city limits. This a farm and wooded area. I can't guarantee your dog won't see other animals. Our dogs are up and campers dogs are leashed. There's enough land that you shouldn't encounter other people but it's not 100%. There's deer, rabbit, squirrel, foxes, ticks, chiggers, and poison ivy possible. Not probable but possible. Sometimes we have roaming dogs. The 44 acres is fenced for cattle and not dogs.
