Bates Farm is a privately owned beautiful 44 acres area 8 miles from the Beltline outside of Decatur, Alabama city limits. This a farm and wooded area. I can't guarantee your dog won't see other animals. Our dogs are up and campers dogs are leashed. There's enough land that you shouldn't encounter other people but it's not 100%. There's deer, rabbit, squirrel, foxes, ticks, chiggers, and poison ivy possible. Not probable but possible. Sometimes we have roaming dogs. The 44 acres is fenced for cattle and not dogs.

Our park offers free in grass parking to the left of the driveway. A large fenced in area for off leash play and a 1 acre yard/trail for leashed play. There is also a wooden back deck with chairs for guests. You may bring your own chairs as well. Free water provided to guests and water hose free to use for pets. Some dog toys will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Dog waste bags will also be provided along with a shovel for clean up. Grounds will be cleaned daily to ensure sanitation.
