35The space was easy to book last minute (about 1.5 hours in advance). When I arrived I was notified there was a 7 ft panel of the privacy fence missing that led directly into the neighbors driveway and out into the road. Not ideal especially after a 30 minute drive, but not a dealbreaker because my dog has good recall.  It’s a decent size yard for being in the immediate metro Detroit area but there were several things I would caution visitors about: Aside from the panel of fence missing, the other gate didn’t latch and had about a 7” gap, there was a slat of fencing missing that looks like it was tied back on but fell off . A smaller dog could definitely breach these areas . The underneath of the deck is accessible (to my 65lb dog) where there were several children’s toys, cigarette butts and beer cans. There was something under there my dog was trying to eat and I can only imagine what it was. I spent a good part of our visit recalling him away from the deck. There were some accessible fireworks in The fire pit . The garbage cans were kept in the backyard without lids with accessible garbage. My dog grabbed a piece of garbage off the ground but luckily I brought high-value treats to trade him for. When we arrived, the garage door was open which I was able to close before I disconnected the leash.  If I was going to play fetch, my dog may have ignored all these distractions but I booked the visit to allow him to sniff and explore without the expectation of high arousal play so I felt like I was doing damage control the entire time.   For $5, It’s not the end of the world but if you have an escape artist or a dog without good recall who likes to get in to things I wouldn’t recommend this yard .
55Big yard! Secured fence and gate. Host was very kind, and made herself available if we needed anything or had any concerns, which I didn’t because it was such a great space with easy to follow instructions. My dog had a blast and we would love to come back again soon!
45This was our first experience with sniff spot. Nicole was a gracious and very nice host, providing a chair for me and fresh water and toys for my dog. Her yard was a good size, with lots of places to explore and run. There were just a couple of spots where a small dog (under 15 pounds) could have gotten through/under the fence, but Nicole was aware of them and intended to address them. The gate going into the yard might prove a challenge for a physically handicapped person. We enjoyed our time there and will return!

Hi! We have a larger fenced in yard. We lost our dog a few years ago, and thought we could share our yard with some new doggies!
