The yard is fully fenced at approximately 3¾ to 4 feet high, designed to be a secure "sniffing oasis" where your pup can enjoy off-leash freedom! Key Features & Amenities Doggy Play Zone: A large yard perfect for sniffing and playing! Relaxation for Humans: Guests can take advantage of the fire pit, tables, and garden chairs. The host often places seating throughout the yard so you can comfortably supervise your pup from a distance. Hydration: An outdoor water faucet and fresh bowls are provided to keep your dog hydrated during their zoomies. Safe & Private: To ensure a stress-free experience, there is a 30-minute buffer between bookings, meaning you’ll never have to worry about running into other dogs or people during your session. Getting There & Access Entrance: Enter through the gate to the left of the driveway. Parking: Free street parking is available; you may also use the driveway if it is unoccupied at the time of your visit. Important Rules to Note Leash Policy: Dogs must remain leashed while entering and exiting the spot for the safety of the neighborhood. Spacious 1/4 acre partially enclosed with privacy fencing, chain link, and wood. Height is approximately 3 3/4’- 4’ which contains most pups though some may scale it at the lowest points. There should be no gaps! Enjoy the toy rope hanging from the maple tree. Feel free to adjust height using the chain above the toy. There are also toys and treats in the bin on the back deck. Sorry for the inconvenience.** Let your dog run free in our backyard that has a wooden privacy fence. They can also play or lounge under the shade of our large weeping willow tree. The lower deck has 3 lawn chairs, and the upper deck (accessible via stairs in the backyard) has 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table with 4 chairs. Use of shed in backyard is not an option (it will be locked). There is easy free street parking in our cul-de-sac. If your dog (or child) wants to use the toddler slide, feel free to pull it out onto the grass. If you would like me to make the box of children's toys available during your visit (for no extra charge), please select that option in the Extras section of your reservation. Note 1: When walking between your vehicle and the gate to our backyard, there may sometimes be other people or dogs on the street/sidewalk or in their front yards. Or there may sometimes be someone from our household leaving or arriving home (which involves walking between the front door and a car in our driveway). So please keep your dog on leash until you are inside the backyard with the gate closed (per standard SniffSpot rules). This yard has always been a special place for our family. Our dog loved racing through the grass here, full of energy and joy. After saying goodbye, my wife and I wanted to open the space to other dogs so they could enjoy it just as much as he did. Our large, fully fenced yard offers plenty of room to run, sniff, and explore safely. The 7-foot wooden fence keeps everything secure, perfect for off-leash play or reactive pups who need a little extra space. The yard features lush grass with mulch beds beneath mature trees, giving your dog both open sunshine and cool shade to enjoy. There’s a seating area with table and chairs, balls for playtime, and access to a hose and electrical outlet for your convenience. Off-street parking makes arrival easy and stress-free. Set in a quiet suburban neighborhood, just a short drive from Alexandria, Arlington and Washington DC. This is a peaceful spot to unwind, train, be off-leash and let your dog be a dog. We hope your pup feels right at home here. In the fall the yard gets covered in leaves. I do my best to keep them tidy, but they seem to have their own plans. Our dog used to love racing through the piles, and most pups enjoy the extra smells and crunch — hopefully yours does too.
