55This is our 3rd visit and my dogs had a BLAST! It was about 20 degrees and completely worth being in the cold to see how much fun they were having. Sooo much space to chase one another and different areas to explore. My city dogs love getting to sniff around all of the trees.
55The sniff spot is perfect. My dog had plenty of space to run and explore. The fencing was secure and it was secluded so the scenery is beautiful!
55We had a great experience with our 3 dogs. The owner communicated great with us. I had booked a night visit for when we got back from vacation but arrived late and didn’t use it, and booked another visit the next day. Owner reached out to check on it and offered a discount code since we paid for the visit we couldn’t make. I appreciated that communication and personal touch! Space is huge with trees at far end. Directions for parking and entering were clear. The horse barn at the mid back was easy to find with chairs and a dog bed. There was fresh water by patio, which we greatly appreciated. I went with 2 young adult dogs (75+ lbs) and a new 4 month old heeler mix puppy. They ran their energy off, especially when they discovered they could chase each other in circles around the trees. The fence line was secure. Our puppy probably could have snuck out in 1 spot if she really worked at it but I wasn’t concerned. The only thing I wasn’t sure about at first was the back patio (behind where the fire pit was) because you can access it from the play space. There are yellow ropes indicating humans please not use but the dogs could easily access. I checked it out and it’s fenced in so I wasn’t worried after that. The dogs ran up to the space to check it out but came back when called because it wasn’t very interesting. I know a previous comment mentioned lots of poop but I walked the yard our entire 45 min there (because my daughter didn’t want to sit) and didn’t see any. It was a beautiful, quiet, enclosed space!! We’ll be back again!!
55Private with few distractions. Extra fencing low, I'd be comfortable bringing an escape artist here. Take the driveway on the left at the fork. You're able to see the whole park from one spot.
55Great space for the dogs to run around!
55Our new favorite spot
25Disappointed. Tons of poop in the yard. It’s a great space, sad it was not clean. We probably won’t return. Host was responsive about our concern.
55Another great visit, keeping the dogs out of the house while the plumber came! I love seeing the little updates here and there at the spot, it is beautifully maintained. Can’t wait for a snowy visit hopefully soon 🤞
55This was a gorgeous location. Secure fencing, nice flat, open space so I could see my dogs no matter where they zoomed off to.
55Beautiful property with a nice, clean 2 acre fenced area. No other dogs or humans in sight. Good smells for my dog, and a peaceful setting for me. Clear instructions on access from the owner, and a few nice amenities such as chairs and a raised dog cot.

Description

PALS park, is a space we have curated for our three dogs, Penelope (20 lb Boston Terrier), Arthur, and Lewis (brothers,55-70 lb. Cattle Dog mixes). We also have a cat named Stumpy, he makes himself VERY scarce when people are around. It’s a place we have made exclusively to let our dogs be the very best version of themselves. They “do not play well with others”, thus our need for the space we have. It’s a need for many dogs, and those dogs are not always afforded the ability to go to a dog park and be off leash. That’s why we offer our space. Dogs deserve to be dogs, and that’s our aim at PALS Park. There is ample parking and the driveway and a pathway to the park will be cleared in the winter months. There is a horse shelter in the park (we are slowly turning into the guest space). That’s where you will find a pooper scooper with a bucket for poops without poop bags, a roll of poop bags, a trash can for bagged poo and trash, some people chairs and an elevated dog bed. There is an always refreshed yellow bucket of water at the fire pit patio, as well as the BIG BOX of dog toys. **PROPER POOP DISPOSAL PROCEDURE** #2 can be: -pitched over the fence (bagless) -put into the trash can (if bagged) Karmic Poop Pick Up - we have a ton of space to play, so the odds of missing a poo now and then are high, we totally get it. See a poop? Pick it up (with a provided poop bag) and all day long you'll have good luck! We have a 700 gallon stock tank pool (not open November - April) just for the dogs. We will provide some towels, because we know a wet dog in a car is not fun. Please try to stay off the patio/porch near the home as it’s slippery when wet. Those areas will marked with a yellow plastic chain.

Cleanliness

96% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Please be aware that there is some barbed wire atop of the fence, along the backside, long stretch of fencing. It runs from the corner by the entrance gate towards the horse shelter.

Extras

PALSmix (doggy trail mix)$5

We are offering your dog/s a crunchy trail mix for their time at PALS Park. It consists of mini milk bones, freeze dried beef liver, and taste of the wild (grain free dog food, salmon and bison). It’s approximately 4 ounces of treats and it will be in a paper bag with their name on it in the shelter. If you want one and you had already booked without one, just send me a message and we will sort it out. Please let us know as soon as you can, so we can have it ready for you when you arrive.

Additional rules

Please clean up after your dog/s go #2. A scooper and bucket is at the shelter in the back middle of the park. We will provide a roll of poop bags. There is also a trash can where you can discard and “used” poop bags. **Karmic Poop Pick Up - we have a ton of space to play, so the odds of missing a poo now and then are high, we totally get it. See a poop? Pick it up (with a provided poop bag) and all day long you'll have good luck!** You are welcome to use the toys in the deck box by the patio, but please put the toys back when done. If a toy is broken or exploded (not a big deal) just please pick up the trash and throw it away in the bin in the shelter. Park next to basketball hoop/orange cone, NOT in front of either set of garage doors.
