25This was our first Sniffspot experience and it was a pretty stressful one. My partner and I booked this spot for our two dogs on a Sunday afternoon. We messaged the host upon booking, but didn't receive a response. Upon arrival, we found the gate to the yard propped open, a receptacle bin and shovel at the entrance, a kiddie pool and fire pit, all of which were listed in the amenities for this listing. We also noted that the yard had obviously been mowed very recently, which in our minds, further indicated that the host had prepared for our booking. We were a little taken aback by a stack of large ladders, a stack of long boards and some other items in the yard, but they were along the perimeter of the yard and nothing we felt would be a danger to our dogs, although it should be noted that there is a small boat on a trailer smack-dab in the middle of the yard. We also realize that we were utilizing someone's personal space, not a public area, so it didn't seem like a huge deal to us. We put out water for our dogs, unfolded our chairs and began playing with our pups. We actively cleaned up after them during the booking, as expected of us and all was going well. We noticed a vehicle backing into the driveway. No big deal- we assumed the host was arriving home. A man proceeded to exit the vehicle with his own dog, both of whom approached the fence, at which time my partner approached the gate as well and the man asked what our dogs were doing in his yard. His tone made it clear that he did not expect to find us there, nor was he happy with our presence. My partner politely responded that we were there for a Sniffspot booking. The man walked away without responding. My partner then asked if he had received notification of our booking, to which the man did not respond, but mumbled something under his breath while walking away. His dog followed. Luckily our dogs are not dog reactive and the other dog was extremely polite at the fence. We quickly gathered our things, leashed our dogs and proceeded to our car. We left without further incident, however I did message the host again when we got home in an attempt to figure out what had happened and clear up any miscommunication, but again did not receive a response. I would not recommend booking this spot at this time. There is clearly some sort of communication issue in regards to this listing, which in our case, resulted in an extremely uncomfortable encounter. That being said, with some minor tweaks to the yard and clear communication with the host, this has potential to be a nice, affordable spot to enjoy time with your pups.

Lindy's Fully High-Fenced Yard For Dogs and seating area

Hey everyone! My name is Lindy and I was a dog mom of 2 beautiful Angels that are now together forever, they passed 2 years apart and with this most recent loss of my Great Dane I like a good reason to keep up with our yard for a dog still. They had lots of fun and exercises and sunbathing back here and they would hate for it to go to waste! I live in a quiet safe neighborhood that misses the barking in my back yard, high privacy fence to deter jumping and great for throwing balls! Separate Private entrance through the garage of house. A small pool for dogs filled upon request, Sun Deck with chairs and table for lunch, Sun Bathing, etc. Fire pit ok to use! Working on getting it well lit for night visits which are also encouraged because my neighbors are great and don't mind:) Check out our Spot! Thanks:) Also featuring some fun equipment for the ole' Bone Yard! 🦴🐕‍🦺🐾🤸‍♀️ ~(((Agility equipment can help dogs in many ways, including: CONFIDENCE! -Dogs are rewarded at each step they complete, which can help build their confidence. This confidence can carry over into other areas. 💎✨💃🕺 FITNESS! -Agility training is a great way to exercise dogs, which can help them burn off excess energy, prevent obesity, and increase their endurance. 💪🏋️‍♀️ MENTAL STIMULATION! -Agility training teaches dogs to navigate obstacles, which provides mental stimulation. 🧠📚 SOCIALIZATION! -Agility training provides opportunities for dogs to socialize with other dogs and people. 💑🤸‍♀️ COMMUNICATION! -Agility training requires verbal and physical communication between the dog and their owner, which can help improve their communication. 🗣️📣 DISCIPLINE! -Agility training tests a dog's obedience, speed, and dexterity, and promotes discipline. 🖐️🚫🚦)))~ Also included in the benefits by your honored Host: Brain Power and Keen Rescue Abilities!! Timmy fell in the brush pile?! No worries because his dog Tank knows how to quickly navigate through problems areas! He went to Lindy's bone yard and boot camp and learned some SKILLZ 🛟⛑️ 😄🥰🐾
