555/5 We had a such blast! Quiet beautiful country location, the trails behind the yard are fun to explore and the yard was spacious and well maintained. Toys and water provided there, as well as the super convenient doggy septic system. I would recommend this sniffspot to anyone, all the fun of the dog park with 0 stress.
55Lovely, lovely place! Will definitely be back :)
55Great spot. Dog enjoyed getting out of the car for a good off leash run.
55The space was wide open and beautiful!
55My pups had a great time! We enjoyed some off leash time and also checked out the trails! The spot was clean and directions were very clear๐Ÿ˜Š
55Very nice spot
55Definitely a healing/safe environment for my dog who yesterday was attacked at a community park by a big dog, off leash (mine was leashed) its guardian nowhere to be seen. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’Ÿโ˜ฎ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜Š We thank you Numi & Tessa!!
55What a great spot to have my dog run around in a secure and safe place!
55Great place! My dogs had a blast and secure tall fencing will def be back!
45Yard is nice and clean and having the doggy waste disposal right there is super handy. I think this will be a nicer visit in the Spring/Summer when the trails are once again filled out with plants and picky bushes trimmed back. Although you can't get lost, having cute signs to tell you which way is what to match with the map would be helpful. A great place to spend an hour - our furry boy was tuckered out afterwards.

Description

1 acre fully fenced yard + 7 acres of private hiking trails in rural Williamston. Former stomping grounds of a fear-reactive herding dog. Please leash your dogs on the trails.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Our road and neighboring roads are fast rural roads - 50 MPH - and the wooded part of the property is not fenced. In summer: - You may want to wear or bring bug spray. In order to keep our Sniffspot chemical free, we do not spray for insects. Trails: - Dogs unleashed on the trails may be lured into chasing deer or rabbits. We ask that you keep your dog(s) leashed on the trails. Dogs can run unleashed in the fully fenced yard. - For humans, long pants can be good against poison ivy in spring/summer. We try to keep it off the trails but it grows fast. Also, very occasionally, we see a tick. Fenced area: - We have a very persistent groundhog who makes his home under the shed. Dogs are often attracted to his scent and like to investigate around the shed. Great enrichment! But in spring/summer, s/he sometimes tunnels under the fence. We try to keep an eye on it and fill them in. But if you have smaller and/or escape artist dogs, be mindful of potential for holes in that area.

Extras

Use of private trails$10

Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒWelcome to Wynshire Woods! ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. Take a break at the top of the first hill and relax in the hammock, taking in the peaceful nature around you. This is a great spot to bring a snack or picnic! We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.
