Location

Description

1 acre fully fenced yard + 7 acres of private hiking trails in rural Williamston. Former stomping grounds of a fear-reactive herding dog. Please leash your dogs on the trails.

Cleanliness

100% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

Our road and neighboring roads are fast rural roads - 50 MPH - and the wooded part of the property is not fenced. Dogs unleashed on the trails may be lured into chasing deer or rabbits. We ask that you keep your dog(s) leashed on the trails. Dogs can run unleashed in the fully fenced yard, of course.

Extras

Use of private trails$10.0

Beyond the fenced yard, we have an additional 1 mile of private hiking trails. Please keep dogs leashed on trails. To access, use small gate to the left of the garden shed. Latch gate behind you.

Our favorite place to take Bjorn. Close and local for our commute. Large fenced in area along with some wooded trails that are available as well.

Host replied: Thanks, Cynthia! We’re glad to have you and Bjorn as members!

This large Sniffspot is awesome! Beautiful rural setting. There are two driveways....be sure to use the west entrance. Fencing nice and secure. Thick grass coverage throughout that likely won't be muddy. Our two dogs had a blast being able to run freely at top speed and play with their toys. Definitely a 5 star spot and we will return. Tessa is very responsive to concerns and questions too.

Host replied: So glad you had a good time. Thanks for sharing that about the driveways, Marjorie! One correction: It's usually best to use the WEST driveway entrance (closer to Zimmer Rd.) I will add it to our listing.

We had a wonderful time! So much space to explore and it was nice to walk on a short trail without worrying about other people and dogs!

Our pups had a GREAT time!! Quiet location, secure fencing, and tons of room for them to run around. We can’t wait to come back and try out the trails!

Host replied: Thanks for coming, Zeus and Otis! We’re glad you had a good time.

We had such a fun time with our two pups playing in the fenced in yard in the snow, they had plenty of room to run and play! And then we went through the side gate to explore the trails in the back which were great as well. Loved our time here and highly recommend!

Host replied: Thanks for your visit! I’m glad the dogs enjoyed and explored the trails too. Hope you’ll return!

  • Karla B., Jan 22, 2023

The place is private and safe, plenty of space, and my two dogs could not believe they could run around freely, they were so happy! We plan on doing again!

Host replied: So glad you had a good time! I love the pictures, thank you. Numi had a similar reaction of disbelief the first time she ran through it :)

❄️Winter Trails❄️ It’s winter, so our trails can be a bit slushy as the snow melts. Snow boots or muck boots are recommended! Please be cautious of stumps and sticks that may be underneath snow. You may want to bring towels to wipe your dogs feet off after your walk. 🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road. Parking is near the metal barn. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and SMELLS throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.
