Avoid this spot if you have a reactive dog. Several reasons why I suggest this: when I pulled up, two neighbors with their dogs were in the park. I thought maybe I had the wrong place but it turned out they were just hanging out there without reserving. When I let them know they were kind enough to leave but they walked right towards us and along the road so there were few options for me to get away from them so my dog wasn’t set off. Second, several dogs can be heard and seen from this spot. The spot is BUSY with neighbor dogs on walks. 5 dogs walked by when we were there and we passed 3 more leaving only there for 40mins. Third, a house near by let their dogs out and the dogs ran to the fence and barked at my dog. This was visible and audible from the sniffspot. Fourth, a person walking their dog had their kid run up to the fence of the spot to read the sign. Lastly, one of the neighbors had their dog off leash in the yard. In other words, this spot is a see through cage of exposure to several triggers that occur frequently every 30 minutes. The owner of this spot needs to revise the posting because it’s inaccurate and people with reactive dogs should be informed of the triggers/dangers in the area. If your dog is fine with other dogs and you don’t mind neighbors walking up on the spot with their dogs, this would be a great spot. Little bit of social, little ways to work on training with distractions. Just not what is advertised and frankly many potential areas for something more dangerous to go on if not prepared.

Host replied: First- I'm sorry that uninvited people was in the park, that should never happen. I'm trying to control this. I wished you had informed me so I could deal with them. Second- my park is not private fencing Fencing type(s): Chain link - non-privacy as stated on the add. You make it sound like it some unethical spot to have. "other words, this spot is a see through cage", No, its see through fencing as stated on the add. Maybe be careful when renting not to do chainlink fencing but privacy fencing if you don't want to see others at all. Third -it's set in a neighborhood and yes, nice days like to day people will probably walk along the road, sorry I can't control what the neighborhood does. I'm not sure what your implying with this statement. "frankly many potential areas for something more dangerous to go on if not prepared." I'm sorry that my neighborhood and fenced in park didn't live up to your liking. God bless

Great yard to play with my dog! We will be back!

  • Della U., Oct 31, 2022

Our dog Franny had so much fun at this sniff spot! The fenced in area was decently private and we didn’t see another person or dog, which really helped our pup enjoy herself safely! It was nice that a couple of chairs were provided for us to sit and some extra poop bags! We’ll be going back! :)

Great spot!!! My dog had a BLAST running his little heart out. Tons of space. Chairs and some dog toys provided which was awesome. Totally going to check this place out again.

Wynshire Woods Dog Trail In Whitmore Lake

SPRING TRAILS! As the snow melts, you'll find some areas of the trail muddy and slippery. Typically there are no major puddles (though after heavy rains it could be possible), but mud boots are recommended! Springtime might not be the best if you have knee or back issues- I'd hate for anyone to slip and injure themselves. I highly recommend bringing towels to wipe your dogs feet off after your walk before heading back home. They're going to have LOTS of fun and if they're like my dogs, they'll have muddy paws! 🌳🌲Welcome to Wynshire Woods! 🌲🌳 We feel so blessed to call this property our home, and would love for others to experience the beautiful nature we get to enjoy each day. Wynshire Woods includes over a mile of trails, fallen trees to sniff, hills to climb, and ravines to explore. Our 49 acre property is nestled in the woods, 1/4 of a mile off of the road with parking near our metal barn at the bottom of our driveway. We have over a mile of beautiful trails through hills and trees, with a short and long trail option. The long trail is about a mile long and takes 40-60 minutes to walk. The short trail is closer to 1/3-1/2 miles and takes around 25 minutes to walk. We hope your dog(s) enjoy all the sights, sounds and smells throughout the woods- we have wild turkey, deer, many small wild animals to see, and and have him/her/them go home tired, satisfied and happy. This is a completely unfenced property. We ask that all dogs are leashed or have a training collar for recall, as wildlife and farm animals are abundant on our property. Dogs MUST be safe with free range chickens and ducks i.e. NOT chase/hurt them. Part of the trail does go past our fenced goat area. We do have 4 dogs who are contained to an invisible fence which does not have access to the trails. As long as your dog does not come into their area, there will be no other dog interactions on our property.

Polly's Private Pup Park - Marshall

Hi I'm Erika, I have a Goldendoodle named Polly, our sniffspot is located just 2 blocks from downtown Marshall-exact address provided upon reservation. We have a fenced in front and back yard (which can be separated by closing the side gate if you would rather only use the backyard). Polly will be kept inside and away from windows so you and your baby can have a fun and relaxing time. There is seating with shade on the front porch and seating on the back porch that you're welcome to use. As seen in pics there is also a blue tote next to the stairs in the backyard filled with water for squirt guns (provided), my dog loves to try to catch the water from the squirt guns. Make yourself at home. There is a basket on the patio table of things like hand sanitizer, bug spray, sun screen, Band-Aids (hopefully you don't need them but they're there just to be safe). Help yourself to anything you need. A water dish will also be provided which is washed after every reservation. Puppy pool can also be freshy filled for additional charge. (Forewarning if it's full and you didn't pay for it, it's probably just full of rain water, so use it at your own risk). Thursday afternoons are unavailable as that is when the lawn guy comes, and Mondays are unavailable as that is when the neighbor's lawn person comes and I never know what time they'll come and don't want them throwing dust into the yard and making noise while you and your fur baby are visiting.
