The area was nice. I would have appreciated some sort of sign to let me know I was in the right place and where to park. There were a few piles of poop. Not from my dog, but I still picked it up in order to avoid my dog rolling in it. Walked down to the pond which was nice, but followed a trail over to the stream which had broken glass all over the place. Granted, not sure if we were necessarily meant to follow that path, but again signage would’ve been helpful. Overall a good experience, probably a one time only thing though.
Host replied: Hello Harley, I’m sorry if you had trouble finding our Sniffspot! It can be a little confusing because Maps puts you one driveway before ours… but there is a very detailed description of signs to look for noted in our spots public description on what the driveway, yard, parking area, and path down to the pond look like. If you look for those signs/markers, you can’t miss it! If you have any issues you can always send your host a message, we would have loved to have helped you!
A great spot for swimming!
I had to cancel but very great at corresponding! Will try and go another time.
Great fenced space! They were very kind, and setup to wading pools and a sprinkler for my pooch to play in. The pond was my dog's favorute spot, great to walk to with her long lead and let her explore the pond area and chill on the dock.
Juliann was awesome to work with! Super super helpful when there was a scheduling error made on my part. The spot itself is amazing. The yard is nice and big and there we Jollyballs and regular balls in there for them to play with, and a giant water bowl. Our pups LOVED the pond. they don’t usually swim and just like to stand in the water but they swam like crazy in the pond. The pond area itself is great for taller grass sniffs to work their brains as well. We will definitely be back!
Host replied: We love that you guys had such a great time!!
Super sweet hosts and a nice, big space for my greyhound to run around in :)
Great spot! The acre fenced in is spacious and has a nice table to sit at while the dogs are playing. We didn’t explore the rest too much but did walk down to the pond - good spot for exploring.
Well first off this is not 9 acres fully fenced. There is maybe a quarter of an acre back yard fenced in and the rest of the property is not fenced. And the fenced in portion is absolutely covered in dog poop. There is a trail outside the fence to a small pond on the property and the host was very nice but if you have a reactive dog or a dog with Poor recall I’d look elsewhere. Pulling into the driveway there is a fenced in section on the left with a dog you cannot avoid. Wasted drive
Host replied: I am so sorry you felt this way Pedro. But it is clearly stated in the descriptions that there is “9 acres to explore and enjoy with you and your pup.” Then it states that “aprox. 1 acre of that is fully fenced in with a 6ft. fence.” There are pictures of the pond as well as the back yard listed so if you can see the pictures, you can tell the size of it… Regarding your statement about the “yard covered in poop” - You booked at 11:30am on 7/18 for a visit at 7:30pm that same day. We have 3 dogs of our own who also use the fenced in back yard (obviously…) when you booked, we had already left for work and did not make it back home before you arrived at our house. I apologize that our dogs pooped in the backyard that morning and we did not have time to pick it up before leaving for work. It should be noted that there was no poop in the backyard when we went to bed the night prior. It also states that there is livestock in the property at all times which is located in the front yard (out of site when in the back yard). It also says that there is a livestock guard dog on the property. If you know anything about LGD’s, or if you did your research on them because you weren’t informed before booking our spot - LGD’s will bark at people or animals (anything they deem to be a threat toward them or the animals they are protecting) until they believe the threat is gone or no longer a threat. So our LGD was doing its job when you entered the driveway. If you have a reactive dog, this should not be an issue because you drive up the driveway in your vehicle and park at the top which is a good distance from the farm animal pasture (which you also stated is fully fenced in). The rules on Sniffspot also state that “Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the spot. Always keep the leash within easy reach when visiting, in case it is needed.” If you haven’t read over the Sniffspot rules when joining the group or if you forgot them, I listed the link below for your reference. https://help.sniffspot.com/article/48-what-rules-do-i-need-to-follow-at-a-sniff-spot We are sorry you did not enjoy your time!
Had a great time! The main area near the house was very securely fenced. We exited that area and took the short trail to the pond and my two dogs had a ton of fun running around and swimming.
Host replied: We are so glad you guys had a wonderful time!!
