55Had a great time running around with my pup at Oz’s! My dog likes being around other dogs, but do not enjoy the artificial grass at local dog parks. We live in a typical South Philly row home with a tiny backyard, so finding Sniffspot was a game changer! We don’t own a car, so accessibility to BSL is also a huge plus. Located in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood and has secure fences. There is a shaded area with chairs, but I brought a picnic blanket and it worked great! My pup enjoyed the afternoon sun and breeze between zoomies and we walked back home to unwind. It is super walkable to Center City surrounding neighborhoods if you and your dog are into walking through the city. Osvaldo was an amazing host. Very responsive and was understanding when we had to change our booking time last minute due to some scheduling conflict. Would definitely be back for some spring sun!
25Lots of glass and debris in the yard. Fence wasn't fully secure. Lots of poop from other dogs in the yard.

Lots of glass and debris in the yard. Fence wasn't fully secure. Lots of poop from other dogs in the yard.

Host replied: After a thorough review of the area, we found no evidence of glass, and our gate is tightly secured with a chain until we have the funds to straighten the gate door for latching. We have a dog of our own and take comments of glass and gate security very seriously. However, we did find some poop in the corner of the yard and cleaned up. We appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again soon. Cheers!

About: Explore our heavily wooded, fenced yard which backs up to township wooded land. Lots to sniff as we regularly experience visits from all sorts of wildlife (deer, fox, bunnies, chipmunks, birds, squirrels, etc). We have two very large GSDs of our own who love chasing all the woodland creatures and frequently bring their toys outside so it wouldn't be surprising if your dog uncovers a ball or toy buried out there. New Deck Closed: For winter, deck is unavailable as the furniture and deck need to be cleaned for spring. Potential for deck amenities for pet parents available this summer. It's perfect for launching a ball off of - really tires our dogs out. Please note that some photos showcase an old deck. Updated photos will come soon. Warning: To keep the visit pleasant, please keep yourself and the pup(s) away from the glass door on the deck. As mentioned we have two large GSDs and they are protective of the house as is in their nature. Suggestions: Our yard is great for: - scent work as there are some many places to hide a scent. - tiring out your dog with a tougher game of fetch as there's a lot of foliage to throw a ball into to have them really use their noses - watching wildlife such as deer, birds, fox, etc. Warning: Backyard is positioned on a hill which may not be accessible if dog/humans have any mobility issues. You can avoid the hill by following the trail against the fence until it dead ends where you can walk through the clearing. In times of heavy rain, the space will get muddy. Clean towels can be provided - see extras.

Welcome to our backyard! It's about 6,500 square feet, with a beautiful, six-foot red cedar fence all the way around, with no gaps for even the smallest dogs (except maybe a teacup dog!). There are two major seating spots with chairs and plenty of empty space for your dogs to run around. It's also well shaded, with a gigantic, hundreds-years-old tree right smack in the middle. If you have a good visit, please leave a good review! We are first-time homeowners and Sniffspotters. Please get in touch with any questions or suggestions for improvements! PLEASE DO *NOT* BRING A DOG THAT: - has a particularly loud or booming bark. We live in a quiet neighborhood and do not want to disturb our neighbors. - may chew through outdoor-rated extension cords (there's one for the mosquito trap, as you can see next to the pool). - may chew through (or climb through!) the plastic tubing between the pool and its mechanics (pump and filter). Important notes: - No more than four dogs may be in our yard at any one time, and all dogs must share the same owner. The owner must remain with their dogs at all times. The owner may bring a small number or human guests, but no guest may bring their own dog. - Please look carefully through our photos to know what to expect. Any questions, ask! - It is expected that our yard will be in the same or better condition than when you entered. Please clean up your and your dog's messes. - If you can prevent your dog from peeing next to the pool and its mechanics, please do. We realize this might not be possible, so don't stress if it happens. - There's a three-foot-wide alleyway behind the shed (fence on one side, shed on the other), open on both sides. It's just dried leaves back there. (Note: the bricks in the pictures will be gone before your dog arrives.) For the moment, we're leaving this open, but may block it off depending on feedback from our Sniffspot guests. - The pool is off limits to dogs. Note the pool-wall is five feet high. There will be no ladder when your dog visits. It is IMPERATIVE that you not put a chair next to the pool, to prevent your dog from jumping in. - We have one neighbor (on the driveway side) with a dog. He's not out that much, he's never out without his owner, and he's not loud (I've NEVER heard him since moving here two years ago). It is very likely that this dog will not be out during your visit, but we can't guarantee this. Regardless, there is always a solid six-foot-high fence between. Our neighbors are well aware, and are fully supportive, of our renting via Sniffspot. Concerns we are currently working to address: - We plan on building a small fence around the pool mechanics. - Note that we mow this very big backyard every two weeks. Also, there's ALWAYS more weeding to be done. However, there are no harmful-to-dogs plants that we are aware of.
