This space is pretty small for a large dog to get enough exercise in, but was enough room to practice recall. Note that there are plush toys, rawhide bones, and other bones/chews around. Some folks might not want those available to their dogs. Ours plays keepaway with them, and we don't allow her to have rawhide so we just picked them up before letting her off leash. The space was a little cluttered too, and chairs are not super stable, but still a good space for smaller dogs or for training purposes. We may use again for that purpose.

Grateful to have been able to book on short notice and found parking very quickly at the end of the block. Plenty of toys and sniffs for Sawyer to enjoy! He’s not super play motivated so got to work on building that in our time there. We mostly hung out in the shade which was a good place to train and practice recall. Our main reason for booking was to have a safe, secure space to hang out without worrying about foxtails! Hard to come by those spaces bc they’re usually not open to public or packed w other ppl/dogs. I’d recommend this spot for people interested in playing with and training their dogs (big and small) in a new environment! Bring your treats :)

We just started Sniffspot and we’re loving it, and we hope you love our spot too! **We had one bad review on April 30th about a weed problem, NOT FOXTAIL, that’s since been resolved. We got rid of all the weeds that were inaccessible. They were accessing an inaccessible area that we now made accessible and posted numerous photos of weeds, NOT FOXTAILS, while claiming there are foxtails. The review is mistaken; there are zero foxtails. We DO NOT use pesticides or herbicides, hence the 1 or 2 weeds that sometimes get leftover and are hard to spot** Our yard is 100% fox-tail and thistle free (even in inaccessible areas like behind our beautiful oak tree). About the space: - Sprinklers turn on once a week for optimum grass health. - Multiple water bowls and a hose available. - Multiple seating options for large groups of people. - Toys available for your doggos - Hand sanitizer, poop bag dispenser, bin, pooper scoopers, and dog treats coming shortly

Oakland backyard for your doggy to run!

I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. Year round there are A LOT of burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. As well, in the winter, post rain, it can get muddy back there. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue.
