55Thick native trees and brush all along the track/trail. My dog liked it and did some off his own off road into the thick. A couple deer popped up and he took chase for a few minutes. I will put is GPS on next time for sure. Some moderate hills along trail which was nice. Strategically placed benches and fresh water at the end.
55We had such a fun visit! My senior Jack Russell mix loves to hunt for her ball and tossing it into the forest from the trail proved a really fun challenge for her and she loved bounding like a fox through the tall grass field. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. We didn't see any people, but the parking is near homes if your dog is people-reactive. For dog-reactive doggos, we could hear some barking from a neighbor's home, but they aren't visible. Fun and unique spot!
55Such a great sniff spot. My dog had a blast running around the trails. The trail that wanders through the property has lots of tree cover and is nice and wide with little ups and downs throughout. There is also a grassy area for fetch. There are nice benches to sit at several points along the trail and by the grassy area. The sniff spot area is back away from the road which was nice since it is unfenced. The host set out poo bags, water and hand sanitizer for us and there was a garbage can right by the parking area. About an hour or so before our visit the host sent a map of the property with directions where to park and the trails. Definitely 5 stars!
55I had a dog emergency and wasn't able to actually go to our visit, but I'm rating based on the really great communication from the owner. The morning of our visit I received a picture that clearly mapped where to park, where the trails were, and the free roam areas. They communicated with me quickly. We are going to reschedule. I'm excited to visit!

5+acres of land and a walking trail for a beautiful walk!

Large 1/3 acre lot, perfect to chuck it far and tire out your canine.

Added an outhouse with hand sanitizer, covered seating area, privacy screen along fence to help with anyone walking dogs down the street or the neighbors concrete business. Mostly quiet neighborhood where you can feel safe to let your dog run and dig. Large playground tunnel equipment for your doggy to play in! Don't let the darkness defeat you taking your canine out to play! Installed 3 street lights to keep the early darkness at bay. Light timer switch is on the left inside the dog two way gate. Lights take a couple minutes to get fully bright. Now you can play with your dog from 6am to 9pm. Enjoy this private area that you can let your dog off leash without having to worry about anyone interrupting your time with your dog. Picnic table with cover. Water dish, poop bags, waste bin, sticks and balls with a chuck it at entrance. Coordinate with a friend and meet here to let your dogs play together while you catch up. We charge $13 for the hour space rental so, *please mark only one dog even if you are bringing more* The space has a long grassy open [360 feet] area to use a chuck it for dogs that love to fetch. A large cedar provides shade on half of the property while the other half is in the sunshine. This is a fun spot for dogs to exercise their legs and noses. Please check back for future upgrades. Any suggestions on obstacles or improvements please message me. Thanks for considering enjoying canine time here!

Pepper's Pasture in Gig Harbor

Beautiful sloped pasture with some woods at the lower end. 1.5 acres. If desired, you can drive right into the pasture and secure the gate behind you before letting your dog(s) loose. It changes by the season. In summer, the grass grows tall and you can enjoy the shade of alders in the lower portion. A seasonal creek runs through it in winter and spring. Your dog may find the scent of deer where they've bedded down at night, though it's unlikely that any will be present for your visit. You will see that I've planted and protected some fruit trees and native plants here and there. A sheltered area allows you to sit in the shade or out of the rain, and that's where you'll also find most amenities, such as toys and water. There are two driveways onto the property. You want the north one with the sign "Ericksen." After driving up that driveway, you'll see a "sniffspot" sign on the gate into the pasture. Please do not enter the farmhouse yard. The residents of the farmhouse are not the sniffspot hosts. For any questions, issues, or suggestions about how I can improve this spot, please drop me a message or call me, Annika, at 253-346-5863. New: accepting donations for COMPOST, like leaves, lawn clippings, pumpkins, newspaper, fruit/veg peels, coffee grounds, annual plants including tomatoes, used potting soil, tree trimmings, etc. You'll see the compost receptacle as you come up the driveway.
