45A beautiful and scenic spot for an incredible price. This Sniff Spot offers everything from a nice sized fenced in backyard to a beautiful Lake. The Lake was gorgeous and empty so it was quiet and relaxing. My only thing preventing me from 5 stars is twofold. 1. getting to the Lake is a bit of a hike which isnā€™t the issue, the problem was it was very grown in and quite a difficult journey where I had to Hack clear the path with whatever limbs I could find (with a dog in tow this was very difficult) and 2. The lake was extremely rocky. Weā€™re from the coast so we expected a bit more sand/dirt but it was all rocks as far out as you went in the water. My suggestion to solve both issues is 1. Bring hiking boots/shoes and prepare to fight through some vegetation/wooded areas and 2. Bring water shoes, they are a must. Flip Flops and sandals do not cut it. All in all a great spot that Iā€™d love to revisit with the knowledge I now have.
45The dogs had a fun time swimming. The distance of the hike wasnā€™t too bad. It was about a mile hike total. It was quiet at the lake with no other dogs, but there was also no guarantee that another dog wouldnā€™t show up since it was accessible to the neighborhood and not on private land. The only real downside is the hike to the lake was full of thorns and not super family friendly. Thankfully we had the kids in hiking backpacks, because the trail became very narrow. My husband and I came out with cut up legs and one of my pups cut her leg while hiking as well. Other than that it was a nice hike. Would recommend for anyone willing to enjoy a rugged hike to a quiet lake spot. Would not recommend for anyone with kids or hikers who like well maintained trails.
45Pretty nice spot, the trail to the lake a bit more rural than expected but not terrible
45It was a lovely location by the lake, once you get to it! The lake access is not on the actual property, so its a walk to get there and a long walk through the woods to get to the lake. I wish all of this was explained and directions given once we booked because that ate into our time. The path is pretty overgrown with alot of sticker plants so be careful and wear good shoes for a hike. Check the fire pit as wellā€¦there was wood still smoldering from a previous visitor that we didnt notice and our puppy walked over it and burnt his paw. Otherwise, we had a good time and the pups had plenty of room to play and swim.
55Excellent spot to run around and sniff! Be sure to check out the lake access-and prepare for a bit of a hike to get there too!

Host replied: Hello Emily, we definitely explained the Lake lot was a neighborhood community property and It was a 1 mile hike to the lake from the house and back. Since our 12 year old (who is pictured on the trail) and 2 year old can handle the hike we definitely think anyone is capable of this short hike to the lake. Sorry your puppy got burned around the fire pit, again this is the neighborhood community property.
